In LCFC, Dylan raises what could be a valuable question mark in the treatment of the ISI by the US government.

He mentions that after Condi Rice was asked about this 'link' they censored the part about the ISI from the transcript afterwards.

The theory of cover-up somewhat falls away when we notice that we have just witnessed a very unedited video of the event, with the question raised.

Regardless, I couldn't find anything on Mike's site on this, so any debate here?

IIRC- it's not that it was censored, it's that it was [inaudible].

Not sure how the big evil government is going to get away with censorship when the video is not only widely available, but still being viewed.

Now, if the lights had been shut off and then suddenly everyone in the room was gassed... there might be something to the claim...

It's not exactly in the same league as Stalin-removed-from-history photographs is it? They could have dubbed in 'Is it true you were meeting with a group of schoolgirls who said you were the greatest inspiration for women in the entire US history?'

Or is it possible Dylan will claim they got hold of this in the same way Bart Sibrel got that 'secret' moon footage?

There a link to that transcript?

It falls away even further when you find out (courtesy of the Centre for Research on Globalization, no less) that the White House still has the full video of the press conference, uncensored, on its website:

htt p://www .whitehouse.gov/ news/releases/2002/05/20020516-13.v.smil (take out the spaces). It's 31 mins into the file.

One can find the Communist solution to doctoring photographs to change history even in the U.S. The PC crowd airbrushed out Jackson Pollack's cigarette in already famous photos of him smoking while painting. What stupidity!

Actually I am indeed wrong. 'Mahmoud Abbas the ISI chief' is 'censored'.

Quite obviously they changed it precisely so that conspiracy theorists could link to it and say "See, this proves the conspiracy to cover this up!"

Either that or they thought that repeating conspiracy lies on the White House web page would be encouraging the nutbars to get their questions in.

I'd suggest that it was a by the book civil servant that simply saw a name and blacked it out.
