Dawn has this soap... you hit the top and it turns into this foamy stuff which is really good for cleaning. It comes in blue and green.
Does anybody know what its made of

You mean Dawn Direct Foam (http://www.amazon.com/Dawn-Direct-Dishwashing-Antibacterial-Refill/dp/B000BYR40O), (not "Foaming Rinse").
What's in it? Pretty much the same stuff as in other cleaners, dish detergents, liquid hand soaps, etc.:
Ingredients
Active ingredient: Triclosan 0.10%. Inactive ingredients: water, sodium lauryl sulfate, sodium laureth sulfate, phenoxyisopropanol, propylene glycol, SD alcohol, C12-14-16 dimethyl amine oxide, sodium cumenesulfonate, laureth-3, sodium chloride, terpineol, cyclohexanediamine, polyacetate, fragrance. Contains biodegradable anionic and nonionic surfactants and solvents. Contains no phosphate.
Triclosan's in many prominent brands of antibacterial liquid hand soap. Nothing new there.
Somebody came up with technology to make it foam as it's dispensed, is the gimmick.

Propylene glycol at least is derived from glycerol....
Is that animal based?

I don't think this cleans dishes any better than regular dish soap. People just equate foam with cleaning power.
There are public restrooms that have soap that dispenses as foam and I don't find it cleans my hands as well as regular hand soap. It's mostly air.

We found that you can refill these dispensers with regular detergent. The dispenser just mixes in air to make a foam. We like it because it encourages us to use less detergent.

I tried that but failed. I had to dilute it 50% with water to make it work reasonably.
I'd never buy it but my S.O. likes that kind of crap.

I'm pretty sure it's made from sunshine and farts.
