Between India and Pakistan!

Anyone else notice that Pakistan/India keeps escalating but is virtually ignored by the western press?

I honestly have no idea what to do about Kashmir. It would be a shame though for these two countries to go to war.

Let them have at each other. The sooner they set off the handfull of nukes they have, the sooner we can stop worrying about them. Pakistan is a cesspool of terrorism anyway.

No I haven't and thanks for the 411.

I had been following it when it was hot and heavy and India moved a million troops to her border but then things started to cool down.

I don't mind telling you it scares the hell out of me.

You know what is simply hilarious about what is going on in India and Pakistan lately. India test fired this white ballistic missile with a massive "INDIA" painted into the side of it LOL.

As I watched it take to the air to the endless cheers of Indian civilians, I thought to myself--they are going to nuke each other before it is all over.

Then why is Pakistan not the object of a military invasion by the United States as part of the war on terrorism?

Because they have nukes and the people that control them (ie, the Pakistani government) is relatively friendly to the US. But while the Pakistani government controls the nukes, they can't control some part of the country, such as the western part of it where the religious nuts rule and where Osama is probably hanging out if he's alive. If those people got control of Pakistan's nukes, they'd use them. Relative to them, the current Pakistan government is reticent to use nukes.

Because the U.S. will not benefit from it.

Perhaps spmebody in the Bush administration has enough sense to see that the situation between India and Pakistan is too tricky to get involved in any way, shape or form

Or it could be because they have nucular (sic) weapons;)

Except that the USA has a lot more than "a handful of nukes" and in the unlikely event that they are used, could do a lot more damage than India or Pakistan's arsenals.

The Pakistanis have to worry that India is nuclear armed, and has a billion people who believe in reincarnation.

Concerning Bin Laden, I'm no longer worried about him. Those recent messages seem to be the work of the CIA. That means either they know Bin Laden is dead, or that he is alive and in their hands. Either way, he is not in a position to contradict the tapes.

Seems that now they're starting to claim that the recent high alert for terrorist activity was based on a false tip from an informant.

Sure it was.
