Does anyone have any links to reviews, pro and con, of Dean Radin's The Conscious Universe?

I'm very interested in the area of analyzing 'psi' data through scientifically common and accepted techniques from the discipline of statistics.

(of course some patron at my local library had to lose this book!)

Thanks GetAGrip.

Although I feel the author (of the article you linked to) mentioning, several times, Puthoff as a rolemodel of Radin's, and Puthoff is a Scientologist, etc. is off base. Such things don't have anything to do with the scientific status of 'psi' at all.

Also from the review, this seems to be a little nitpicky:

The second event is the start of the ‘main’ broadcast, and it is supposed to take place at 10:00, but on the graph the event seems to be marked somewhere between 9:58 and 9:59.

The review doesn't mention enough on meta-analysis in my opinion. The review says

He collects data from other people’s reports and uses a statistical method called meta-analysis on this data, but since he wasn’t present at the experiments, he can’t know whether they were as tight as the reports might suggest.

Which is ridiculous, because this would mean that a researcher, in any field, couldn't do a meta-analysis unless he/she was there when the original experiments were conducted.

Other than that, I think the review brings up some points worth looking into further.

Yeah, I was hoping for a critique a little more analytical (rather than religious).

Crap is religious? What denomination is it?

Your "answer" was religious. I'm looking for something analytical like the link that was posted.

I had a little chat with Radin back in November. He was pleasant enough. When I suggested a possible leak in one experimental protocol, he acknowledged that it might be.

My answer was flippant, uninformative, and mostly useless, I'll grant you, but it is my opinion based on having read the book. It is not a faith-based opinion and therefore, I do not see how you can label it religious under any circumstances.
