I was concerned about the the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court's ability to issue secret warrants against "U.S. persons" (I'm still not sure who fits that definition), but this page dispelling myths (http://www.lifeandliberty.gov/subs/u_myths.htm) specifically says:

The Patriot Act specifically protects Americans’ First Amendment rights, and terrorism investigators have no interest in the library habits of ordinary Americans.

That's a relief. All I have to do now is remain an ordinary American.

Well, that and hope that the no-true-scotsman fallacy doesn't get renamed the no-ordinary-American fallacy.
