We all owe our pirate talk to one man: Robert Newton, Blackbeard, Long John, etc. An icon

Arr matey, this gets me timbers a shivering. Being a Saskatchewan pirate, I be taken offence to "aboot". Me ears have never heard a Canadian to say this. Aye, but ye finds lots of "ehs", eh?

I be mighty outraged that ye olde Payless store makes me pay for two shoes, when me peg leg don't be needin' a shoe. I ends up spending extra booty for a shoe that I ends up throwin' overboard. It be a waste o' booty, I tells ye.

Arr, yesterday, I thought I heard a fellow pirate trying to say hello by yellin' "Yo-ho!" Turns out it were a pimp who be yellin' at one of his wenches.

Fortunately some of us don't have to work on Saturdays.

Where I work we always tell newbies that Fridays are "commando" days.

Meaning what?

Where I used to work (got laid off) we told newbies to go to storage and fetch a bean-counter.

I think "going commando" means not wearing underwear.
