View Full Version : Troofers at the castle walls, armed with pitchforks.

Gawd I wish that thread title was a joke... it's not even a euphemism for a more conventional modern uprising.

But I'm afraid it literally is a castle they are raiding.

Stormwind Castle in World of Warcraft (http://www.joystiq.com/2007/12/30/ron-paul-advocates-plan-in-game-wow-rally/), to be precise.

Ok, so it's technically a "Ron Paul" thing... but you know what that means 50% or more will be wearing tin foil hats. (http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/items/tinfoilhat.xml)

I don't know about the rest of you... but I'm almost to the point of literally crying for these poor lost souls.

Virtual reality is about the only place Ron Paul has a chance to win anything.

I already know someone who says that they were called NWO Shill because he told the "marchers" that they were causing the server problems (the server had an incredibly long queue).

Said there was some typical 9/11 stuff, as well as the usual IRS=Masonic Evil Doers and the like.

Imagine spending so much time in an on-line world that you forget about the real world and end up staging on-line protest rallies.

Sad doesn't begin to describe these people.

Well, they specifically did it on a PvE server and not a PvP one so as to avoid attacks.

It's still ridiculous.

So wait... even when they stage a virtual rally they still have to manipulate things to avoid confrontation with people who disagree with them?

Yeah.

It's because the LAST time someone announced their intentions to hold a meeting like this, it was invaded and everyone involved killed in PvP.

[...] and is currently planning a pro-Paul march from Ironforge to Stormwind on the Whisperwind server.

A couple of things...
1) It's not Stormrage. Woo!
2) Maybe they'll just take the Deeprun Tram and get it over with quickly.

The most obnoxious twoofers on all the liberal political boards are also Paulbots. It's all about THEM, don't you see. They are SPECIAL. WAAAH! Nobody wants to play!

Now all you need to do is hack the server and make the boars the most ultimate killing machines ever.

As you can see my knowledge of WoW is gathered from that South Park episode.

Like any event that happens in WoW that's slightly more humorous or noteworthy than stubbing your toe, the youtube videos are out within minutes.

NSFW: Full Frontal Nerdity. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AW7U3smrISI)

I remember reading several months back, a study wherein the authors claimed there existed a slight conservative trend in the electorate over the span of decades due to conservatives having higher birthrates than liberals.

But for one to have a birth rate, one needs to meet a girl first. The youtube video evidence (which troofers routinely claim is irrefutable) appears to indicate that the Paulbots/troofers will end with the current generation. :p

Speaking of which...was anyone watching CNN yesterday?

They were covering a lot of candidates and their speeches (not a big fan of the Republicans, but at least Huckabee can play the bass guitar), one of which was Ron Paul.

I could have SWORN that in the audience was a guy wearing a black shirt with something about 9/11 on it. Did anyone else catch that?

"The World of Warcraft march on 1/1/08 on the server Whisperwind. There were probably 300ish people there, all to support Ron Paul!"
not only is that not a very impressive number considering the number of WoW players, but how many of the "300ish people" are even old enough to vote?

I don't know. If its one thing stupid people seem to be able to do better than smart people, its breed.

Of course, since these kids won't be vaccinated. this may not become an issue.

And most of them are just as stupid as the paulbots. (http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=3706996451&sid=1)

If Ron Paul somehow managed to win the 2008 election, it would not make a difference. 9/11, coupled with Bush's mindless and semi-handicapped meanderings as President, has pushed the US into what is strating to show as the beginning of a depression. Ron Paul cannot pull you out of the mess your country is in. America will topple and become another small and economically powerless country, as we have seen evidenced so often in history, with empires like the Roman one, or the mongolian belonging to Ghengis Khan. Ron Paul is absolutely useless, and he will only serve to bring America down. The only thing that can save your country now is another great leader - such as Abraham Lincoln, Franklin D. Roosevelt, Theodore Roosevelt, or Thomas Jefferson.

I would like to hear some other people's opinions on this matter, instead of making useless threads about how Ron Paul looks like a rat.

I'm so glad this individual didn't stoop to making comments about Rat Pauls appearance. /sarcasm

Even if they were old enough and had figured out the registration process, how many could actually negotiate getting from the basement to the polling place and would they know what to do when they got there? Would Mom still have to drive them because they never came out of the basement long enough to get a driver's license?

Pfft.

I LOVED SWG at launch.

At LAUNCH.

It had a thriving community, great gameplay, great customization, great locales, etc. Then things started to go downhill once people started complaining about how hard it was to even unlock your ability to become a Jedi (required mastering some 3 to 5 different "Professions").

Then came the NGE. SWG is dead to me.

Evercrack 2. That's where it's at.

Intelligent people play EvE Online. You need to see to believe some of the political maneuvering, power plays, propoganda (yes, propoganda), and the logistical (far more important than the combat) strategies that go into that game.

Oh, and the drama. Lots and lots of drama.
