Here is the entire email I just received:

Congratulations, [posterior anatomical orifice]!

72. Please rank these "debunkers" according to how effective their opposition to the TM has been, most effective to least
1) debunking911.com 21%
2) Popular Mechanics book & article 11%
3) JREF/Mark Roberts 30%
4) Screw Loose Change Blog 17%
5) 911myths.com 20%
6) Other: Nist FAQ, 1%

Keep up the good work! Maybe next year you'll get to be 100% [posterior anatomical orifice].

This is from that poll that was sent to truthers back in September or so. I had forgotten all about it. But this is all I got. I asked my correspondent if he or she would send the results along, but for some reason I don't think those will be forthcoming. Has anyone seen the rest of these results?

I've never thought of the excellent research/debunking sites in the poll as anything but complementary, but I must say it warms my heart to know we're the most hated. I'll bet the swimsuit competition put us ahead.

:not_ripe:

ETA: you know, I've been getting a lot of emails from truther kooks lately, which is very unusual. Normally my emails are 95% thanks from non-truthers or former truthers. I wonder if this has something to do with that.

They forgot one:

7) the Truth Movement itself: 100%

So it takes the troofer movement 3+ months to count a handful of votes, something the average human could do in an hour or so.

Well, look how long it's taking them to realize that 9-11 was in fact not a giant government conspiracy, and that the hijackers were in fact Islamic terrorists, and that the WTC wasn't destroyed in a controlled demolition.

I'd say that this is actually quick turnaround for them. :)

I just love how you're named specifically. That's just got to give you fits...of laughter.

And for the record, I'm more of an anterior anatomical organ.

Perhaps they show that only the topgallant mast remains visible from their sinking ship.

Its still amazing to think they see the JREF and you in some kind of partnership no matter how many times we tell them that the forum you frequent here is NOT a representative of the JREF itself.

Heh. They couldn't even be bothered to order the list. Lazy!

Also, I like how it's based on effectiveness. See, Gravy? Even the truthers think you do a good job. :)

What?! We came in fourth? That's it, I quit.

But then again, that is still over 3 times the votes the entire truth movement gets by itself...

To be serious, I wouldn't put any stock in this result. That question is number 72. I'd be surprised if they got more than 30 responses from the ADD-addled paranoiacs who comprise the truth movement.

Yeah, I want to know the CI.

Although actually, I would be impressed to hear a truther actually be able to explain what a CI was.

Well of course JREF won. Have you seen some of the Troofers that post around here?

Hey wait! Fallacy of composition! :eye-poppi

Oh right, right, I shouldn't expect truthers to know what that means.

Anyway, congrats. I still have to wonder what the other questions on the poll were though. Also, if JREF ends up ranking higher next year, which of other debunkers do you think would it be drawing points away from?
