I listen to As it Happens on CBC radio, and they kept talking about a canadian national who was deported from the US to Syria. They say that the canadian government wasn't notified and that he never really had any sort of due process. i am kind of interested if we did deport this gentleman to Syria just becaus ethere were allegations , he had conections to Al-Queda.
Is it really right for us to deport candian citizens to another country, without any sort of due process?
I did find his file on amnesty.org.
Canadian Arar Deported by USA (http://web.amnesty.org/library/Index/ENGAMR511612002?open&of=ENG-USA)
Any one know more, or have a reason we did this?
