The giant rat's skull, which measures an impressive 53 centimeters in diameter was found by Andrés Rinderknecht and Ernesto Blanco, two scientists from Montevideo, Uruguay.
It seems that natural selection weeded out the super-large rodents.
Do you think that this is because smaller rodents can breed easier, find food easier, require less food, and hide/find shelter easier?
