Oh noes! The anti-embryonic-stem-cell-research crowd was just crowing about how the new technique for creating stem cells from skin cells would mean that embryonic stem cell research was no longer necessary, and now they're making embryos out of the skin cells.
Can anti-scratching legislation be far behind?

every cell is sacred...
Just as long as they can market the cell, that is.
I get the feeling that there is not a lot of latent love for, say, the ebolavirus, to name one example.

Just because humans hate Ebola... doesn't mean that it's DNA isn't very important to it, now. Sure... it's tiny and can cause our suffering... but we're huge and who knows how many things suffer at out hands (or guts).
DNA plays to win. Our DNA has made us smart and now we might clone it-- but Ebola DNA has made it virulent and it replicates quickly which gives it a nice game plan. It's been hijacking cells to clone it's DNA for some time... we just got there.
