I voted for Kirsten Sanford, she does an excelent science podcast.

Just go to wired.com and type "sexiest geeks of 2007" in the search box if you want to vote.

Rebecca can certainly be nominated, or Teek or GG, etc. Data and pic (and their permission!!!) should do it!

She should certainly be in the running. I like her too!

Linky (http://www.wired.com/culture/lifestyle/news/2007/12/YE_sexy_geeks)

I never noticed before how many hot redheads there were.

Oh, is this going to become a thread about redheads? Cuz, well, I'd be OK with that. There must be pics, tho.

Wait, what about the men-folk? Theres not a single dude in the top 10. Apparantly male geeks are a bit homophobic. Alternately, girl geeks must all be lesbians.

The guys don't have as many votes because it is guys doing most of the voting. We need to grow a few more girl geeks.

But after about 10 pages, I gave up. Did anyone go to the end and if so, how many pages are there? Seems to me the vote is skewed to the people already on the first few pages. How very unscientific of them.

How is this a "Science, Mathematics, Medicine and Techonology"-worthy thread? ... I wonder.

Anyway, I recall Gwen Steffani claiming herself to be nothing but a geek deep down inside, so I guess that would be my vote.

The bad design is also causing multiple nominations which makes it even harder to slog through.

What? No mention of Danica McKellar (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Danica_McKellar)? anywhere?

It that "next" button 10 times and tell me what you see at the bottom of the page.

I am equally dissatisfied with the utter lack of prominently placed dudes. Boooooo.

She's somewhere down the list (you have to click the very tiny "next" at the bottom). But that was the worst internet poll design ever. Too many choices, repeated entries, funky voting...

I see her now but I swear she wasn't there the first time I looked. Yup, not exactly a scientific poll.

Gabrielle{aka techchickblogger} is a retired professional interneter

No true geek would ever be a "retired interneter", regardless of how much personal wealth they had amassed.

Some of these women, while attractive, hardly qualify as "geek" just because the best gig they could find, after the local news station turned them down, was doing feature pieces on video games for some blog.

No True skeptic would ever use the No true scottsman argument. ;)
