Okay, I've been watching videos about so-called Chi/Qi "Masters".
I've been thinking about doing a response video to several, debunking their claims.
One of the things, I admit, I need a little help with. The Master makes a poultice by taking a sheet of aluminum foil, drizzling "water" on it, folding the sheet in half, wrapping the foil loosely in a paper towel, and then putting more water on it.
He places this poultice on the back a prone man. He then makes passes with his hands over the poultice, occassionally moving it to different points of the man's back. An infrared camera shows the poultice heating up and reaching temperatures over 200 degrees Fahrenheit as the Master supposedly transfers his Chi from his hands to the poultice.
I think that the poultice uses aluminum foil, a liquid chemical, and possibly water, to create an exothermic chemical reaction.
Does anyone know enough chemistry to help me identify what chemicals might have been used?
