OK. I was watching "The Pet Psychic" this weekend. (Nothing else was on...lousy Emmys)
It was very humourous, and it seems to me like Sonya actually believes she has these powers.

Anyway, this one person had Sonya take a look at her hen which hadn't been acting right lately (Uh how do you know when a chicken is "acting right"?) Sonya takes one look into the chicken's eyes and says "He's afraid of being eaten"
The owner of the chicken was dumbfounded....
and I was laughing so hard I got a cramp.

It amazes me what people will beleive. It also made me realize, it's very easy to cold read a chicken.

I agree. I love cold chicken.

Wait! Isn't there a movie about that?

"The Pet Psychic" is one of those shows that just astounds me that anyone takes it seriously. I don't buy for a second that the likes of John Edward are doing anything more than cold reading but I can at least understand how people can think otherwise. But the "Pet Psychic" takes the cake. Ms. Fitzpatrick can say the pet is thinking anything without fear of contradiction from the animal. The whole thing is ludicrous from the start.
