Given that I'm lousy at predicting the future, I'm wondering if anyone knows what the price is going to be for TAM6 registration? I'm working on my budget. I can't seem to find the price from TAM5 so I don't know what to base my guess on.

Hi Mike,
I can't remember exactly, but I think the registration costs were around $350 US. The hotel is about $100 US per night, I think.

There are scholarships available. Contact Paulie the Greek (http://forums.randi.org/z/index.php?z-profile=Paul-C.-Anagnostopoulos) for details.

I believe registration will probably be going up. They switched the time of year and to a nicer hotel so the registration cost will probably be going up. if you are looking to budget I would guess 100 dollars for reg and 50 for hotel rooms per day.
Let make clear this is just a guess.

Details coming next week..
And yes, there will be some increases. We're trying to figure out ways to reduce costs, but everything is costing us more this year.

On the other hand, the dollar is the lowest....(not a benefit to 'mericans, but for the rest of us....oy, vey!)

Thanks all. Good info. I'll wait to next week.
So when a skeptic goes to Vegas, do they actually play the slots or roulette wheels or just look at them calculating the odds? I've been there twice and just have to giggle with all the woo/supersition and such.

I view it all as entertainment, just so long as you don't lose your head. Laying down a few bucks to hang out with friends and enjoy the ambiance is fine by me -- and if I'm lucky (and know when to stop) I'll win some money.

Ill mostly be paying poker, which is mainly a matter of odds (and possibly a bit of psychology), but "The Lady" always has a few surprises in store :)
And i must admit, the exchange rate is rather favourable at the minute for us Britishers, just hope it stays that way until ive saved up enough :P

In the past, the registration was $50 higher for non-JREF members, but the cost to be a JREF member, for the initial year's membership, was $50.

If I remember correctly, for students registration was $250 or so.
