Last week, Milwaukee police found 130 felines and a dog in house where trash and cat feces was found up to 3 feet deep.That poor dog.

That just makes me sick. The animals will most likely never be able to be rehomed, because they have been living without human contact. They are probably feral, hopefully some kittens might have a chance.

They have lived their entire lives in an environment that has most likely made them sick, made them fearful, made them fight amongst their own kind for scraps of food while struggling to keep litter after litter alive. They have probably never smelled clean air of felt the warmth of the sun on their fur. Probably have never been able to curl up on a warm lap or sleep in a clean place.

Strange thing is that these people probably thought they were doing a good thing. I have to throw up now.:mad:

This is very sad, there is no way that 130 cats could have done that, there is a much longer history of animals abuse here, there are probably things aother than feces in the three feet.

On cable tv, there is a channel called Animal Planet, and they have a show about animal officers, in Detroit there was a basement with 270 cats, all of which were 'put down' because they couldn't be adopted. Every one was very sad.

But we are making progress, a hundred years ago no body would have cared.

PS Children's welfare societies actualy grew out of animal welfare societies.

How much poop can 130 cats make? Probably not as much as the 244 dogs that this couple kept in their house (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/lancashire/3118510.stm), along with 16 parrots, 7 cats a rabbit and a chinchilla.

Everyone must have missed the show - on Discovery Channel, I think - where they found something like 250 cats in a home in California. You can't imagine what it looked like. Nearly all of them had to be put to sleep because they had become wild.

Sadly, carnivore crap does not make good fertiliser. It justs sits there clogging up the ground. The only way to extract fertiliser from a cat is via "catpost" (which you can make easily and is free once you've paid for the snare and the axe-handle).
