Undesired Walrus

Tonight I went to the LCFC showing near my home. I had leaftlets that I handed out saying 'Warning: The film you are about to see contains arguments akin to creationism' and several links.
It was cold, I was on my own, and I had a succesful run of handing out flyers until a elderly gent who I gave one to earlier came storming out and demanded to know who I was affiliated with. Saying I was on my own was no good for him, so he crunched up the leaflet, pushed it to my chest and asked me to 'shove it up (my) arse'.
As the truthers decended, I got in a few arguments with men (It appeared to be an exclusive white male screening) who I felt were perhaps ganging up on me. Perhaps my quote on the back of Jason Bermas saying he hoped a Holocaust Denier, Eric Hufschmid, would 'support him' didn't go down too well.
The argument got into there being 'no evidence of a plane hitting the pentagon', and then I heard a voice behind me second this. It was Tim Sparke..
I asked 'Mr Sparke, can you tell me who Ramzi Binalshib is?'
He replied 'No, who is he?'
Somewhat surpried by this (although I confess I did not know many of the false flag names people were throwing at me) I declared he was the man who admitted to co-ordinating the attacks. Sparke replied 'Well, that could be anyone'.
Then I tried to explain Shib lived with the hijackers, and supplied the wire transfers, until he got into the ISI. He declared the Wall Street Journal confirmed the story, and so had the FBI. He then took a call and wandered in.
I finally got into a very civilised debate with a guy for half an hour, until we departed.
Overall, whilst I believe I held well against a storm of truthers all decending on me, I think I had a minimal effect on their opinions. I was only one guy.
It is out of my system now. Although it was sad that my respected cinema had played this tripe, I think this will be the last I will deal with 9/11 conspiracy theories, and continue my fascination with the story actually supported on evidence (I'm currently reading 'Perfect Soldiers' by Terry McDermott). I am moving away from this forum as well now.
As Buzz Aldrin says 'These people will never change their mind, so there is no point in reasoning with them'. Perhaps he is right.
