I know they don't really have any control on where ads are posted but I thought this was pretty funny.
(still cant post urls)s1.zetaboards.com/LooseChangeForums/topic/77977/1/#new
Sorry if the ad has already changed but it was a 30 second McCain TV spot in the corner and bottom of the page.

I think the comapanies that buy Internet Ad Space buy space on the Hosting Service, not individual websites. The websites have to show the ads as part of the space rental agreement. I have seen some ads that are reallyout of place on a number of websites.

One would think that such a politically motivated and socially conscious website would be a little more discerning about what it advertised.
Unless of course said website was just in it for the money.

I'd just like to point out, for those unfamiliar, that McCain wrote the foreword (http://www.popularmechanics.com/technology/military_law/3491861.html?page=3) to Popular Mechanics' Debunking 9/11 Myths. If he and Hillary end up being the nominees, I'm planning to start a thread called "Clinton v. McCain: The 'Truth' Movement Lives on No Matter Who Wins." :popcorn1

As painful as it is to say anything in defense of a lunatic Twoofer site, if you sign up for a web hosting company, you are pretty much required to run whatever ad stream they are running.
I have seen ads for HIlary on blogs that are solidly Republican in their view point, and ads for the GOP on solidly liberal sites for that reason.

That was what I immediately thought when I saw this thread.
They ignore the methods of science, the protocols of investigation, and the dictates of logic. The conspiracy theorists chase any bit of information, no matter how flimsy, and use it to fit their preordained conclusions. They ascribe to the government, or to some secretive group, powers wholly out of proportion to what the evidence suggests. And they ignore the facts that are present in plain sight.
Most likely the ad just shows up on sites using their web host, still it's sort of like clicking on the JREF and seeing an ad for Sylvia Browne's new book. :D
