This is reeeealy going too far, isn't it?

It's the real number too. I tried it.

I'd like to shove Tucker's bowtie someplace interesting but I hope he sues the pants off Fox for this.

Utterly sophomoric.

Less than sophmoric. Positively juvenile. "He hit me, so I hit him back!"

Mind you, Tucker should've known better than to give out Fox's bureau number.

Tucker's pretty funny sometimes (if you can get over the bowtie).

Still, I think there's a difference between a light-hearted prank, "whoops, it's Fox, not Tucker's house! Haha, damn him." And giving a person's private phone number to "get back."

No. If Carlson wanted to pretend he was a badass, then Fox News can pretend he made a mistake.

Besides, lots of people's numbers are publicly available via the phone book. What makes him so special.

(And I don't even like Fox News, by the way)

Look, we know Fox's number is listed.

We don't know if Carlson keeps his phone number listed (I'd bet he probably doesn't).

Wow, all ten people who actually watch Crossfire called Fox hoping to reach Tucker. Big deal. The problem with printing his phone number on their website is that it reaches an audience that doesn't necessarily cross over with the original audience. In fact, I'm sure most calls will be from dittoits exercising their loyalty to the mighty Fox.

The number - 703-519-6456 - does work, by the way. I thought about leaving a message, but I couldn't think of anything funny. C'est la vie.

Following a riveting segment on his show about who's most annoying -- telemarketers, lawyers or talk show hosts -- Carlson graciously gave out his phone number to an e-mail writer who said he wanted to direct-market to Carlson some of his "junk in the garage."

I would so love the home phone number of a telemarketer.

And this weekend on "Fox News Watch", "did this network go too far printing the phone number of the number one @sshole in the country?"

OKLAHOMA CITY -- U.S. District Judge Lee West's telephone has not stopped ringing since he sided with telemarketers seeking to block a popular national do-not-call list.

Egged on by talk-show hosts and angry Web sites, people have flooded West's office and home with calls and faxes, apparently trying to show him why they wanted to ban unsolicited sales calls.
No, this article does not pass on the phone number.

It's really quite unbelievable - an incredible abuse of power. Fox has become the National Enquirer of TV news.

Lawyers, can Tucker now sue the pants off Fox, or will they get away with it because he started it? What I'd love to see now is a list of home phone numbers of Fox personnel.

Certainly some questionable legal stances taken by Fox lately. Could it be that they are being led by right-wing nutcases? Naaah.

This fits in well with my paranoid theory that people on the right are basically not mentally stable and can blow at any time.

Tucker gave out a false phone number on purpose, knowing it was actually FOX's number. And you are pissing and moaning.... why?

You're just an idiot. I already knew that, but now it's twice confirmed.

Please do me a favor and just ignore me. Nothing I say is going to percolate through that Kevlar skull of yours, and nothing you could ever come up with to say could ever hold my interest for a millisecond.

I challenge you to start a poll and see who people think is the idiot around here, me or you. Do it, troll.

And of course, you know all about being mentally unstable. :D

Been there, done that, which is why I can recognize it in others so readily. :p ;)

Then it is as the old folk say, it REALLY does take one to know one. :)

That's not his home phone, it's his work phone.

For what, exactly? He gave out their number with malicious intent. Fox is correcting the public record with the right phone number.

What's your source for this? The answering machine I got was most certainly a residential message from him and (can't remember her name).

I would have thought this was rather obvious, but he is an individual, Fox is a huge company. He gave the number of their offices; they gave the number of his HOME. You either recognize what's wrong with this picture or you don't, I guess.

Right from the article - Viewers who want to reach Carlson can, in fact, dial the television "personality" at CNN's Washington bureau at 202-xxx-xxxx

http://www.takebackthemedia.com/directories.html

Gives the same number of the Washington CNN Bureau as the one you say is his home number. So unless he lives at the Washington bureau it's not his home number.

Again, it's an office phone number, not a home thus making it a fair trade. Time to redraw the picture?

No, time for you to buy a new paintset.

They changed the number!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The original number, which I am looking at in my cell phone right now, is 703-519-****.

How FUNNY! Fox backed down and changed it to his office number! And worse, they changed the archives of the story to make it look like they never did it!

This is hilarious. Fox has sh*t on its face once again.

I KNOW this was their home number before - I called it. The message said "Hi, this is (forgot) and Tucker, we're not available (or at home - can't remember) right now, please leave a message."

Wow, unbelievable. You are right (look at LFTKBS's post above).

This is beyond low -- to change a story with out notifying readers/viewers of a change that's downright lying.

Don't be surprised. Remember...you're dealing with Fox "News"

We report, you decide.

We change the report, you can decide again -- if you know we changed it.

But, that's a great Al Goldstien trick.
