Well, well, well! Turns out that the source for many of the "wild" Mohamed Atta stories--his drinking, snorting cocaine, dating a stripper, etc.--has fessed up that she was lying all along!



Among other things, the government checked Atta's phone records and found the two had never called each other.

In 2002, Keller granted an interview with Daniel Hopsicker, a Venice self-published writer who maintains the government has covered up facts about 9/11.

In a taped interview that has circled the Internet, Keller casually discusses intimate details about her relationship with "Mohamed." She claimed it was Atta, but changed her story soon after.

"It was my bad for lying," Keller said. "I really didn't think about it until after I did it."

I was being somewhat facetious in my response, Walrus.

But in my opinion, it works either way. Those who go for lap-dances and "party" with multiple strippers for days on end aren't terribly respectful of women. Osama Bin Laden and his Taliban allies are notorious for their misogynistic attitudes and viewpoint of women as nothing more than baby factories.

I think the Hopsicker stories about Atta in Florida can be dismissed; however the stories about some of the hijackers frequenting the clubs in Las Vegas might have some truth to them. I do not believe Atta was part of this, but other hijackers may have visited the clubs. The Las Vegas connection is interesting in that the hijackers would travel to the city at different times and then leave followed by another group of hijackers. The pattern seems to suggest they were meeting with someone. My theory is they were meeting with KSM. KSM was known to be a "party animal" and for him Las Vegas would be the perfect venue.

I know several Muslims who don't force their wife to dress "traditionally", smoke, drink, and all other "taboo" things. In other words, they still believe in there is a dude named Allah, but don't follow things A to Z from the Quran.

to echo what MarkyX said: all Muslims don't behave the same way and they don't follow the Quran 100%. I like to consider myself a Muslim, yet I've had girlfriends, had a drink or two, and have done other things. I believe in Allah, and I also believe in the pillars of Islam.

Also, put yourself in the shoes of an extremist: you're going to commit an act that your god will look favourably on, all your sins will be forgiven for this one act, why not have some fun while you can?
