"The outdoors trips you used to take as a kid, you'll be able to take them again with your father when you're on the other side." from this page (http://www.newageforum.net/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=20)

How on earth could the psychic have guessed the kid took trips with his father?! I'm srsly in shock here. :jaw-dropp

Well... all he essentially said was "you went on outdoor trips as a kid. When you cross to the other side you can go on them again with your father."

That's not so difficult to guess. I'm sure many people went camping and the like as kids.

ETA: You're kidding aren't you? I feel stupid now...

In case this is not a joke- define outdoor trip. To the local park? To the local 3000 meters high peak?

How many other guesses? What conversation led up to this revelation?

Cold readings can be quite impressive? Can't they? :D

My vote is that ExLex was commenting on peoples gulibility. What can we expect from NewAgeForums.net?

Now, if the psychic had mentioned "camping trips" that might be impressive...but he/she didn't. The psychic phrased it in such general terms that virtually anything qualifies (what a shock!)

Outdoor trips could include camping, sports games (ie. soccer, baseball, football, etc), going to the zoo or a park, or anything else the "readee" wants it to be.

And this has you in shock?

I'm pretty sure exlex's tongue was firmly in his cheek.

I was being funny. I thought the "srsly" gave it away. ;)

And given some of the characters that have appeared around here, it's sometimes not so obvious that something is so nutty that it must be a joke.

Exactly. The line between Woo and parody is so thin that it often requires a Quantum Microscope* to find.

* I mean. If its a Quantum Microscope, it must be really, really good? Right?
