I'm seriously considering the Science and the Public Masters Degree from the Univ. of Buffalo. My interests are to be a better science communicator and understand how best to present science information to all education levels. This program just got accredited so it seems on better footing than it did a year ago. It is not cheap but it is convenient. I can't find too many online options for M.S. degrees in Science education or Science and policy. Science communication doesn't seem to fit the bill.

I don't seem to have options around Central PA to get a M.S. from a brick and mortar building so online is my main option. A Masters seems to be prerequisite for a nice job beyond rank and file. Anyone have any advice or suggestions?

You might check to see what jobs would become available with said degree, just to get a practical view on this.

I already have a "forever" job. The extra degree could give me an edge for promotions. Plus, it would give me additional credibility in my current job and perhaps the ability to do more meaningful work.
