This, from UnconfirmedSources.com, a humor site similar to The Onion:
Sylvia Browne Critically Injured While Channeling (http://www.unconfirmedsources.com/index.php?itemid=3003)
I have already had one email asking me if this story is legit.

I think Perry DeAngelis would have gotten a great kick out of that.

Of course it is legit. Has anyone seen her alive lately?

She is a weekly guest on The Montel Williams Show and hosts her own hour-long show on Hay House Radio, discussing paranormal issues and giving callers advice in her role as a psychic.
Robert - have you ever heard any of the radio shows, and does she make any predicitons that could be subjected to critical investigation such as the Montel stories?
Are they even available online? (I can't check because my work firewall blocks access to the Hay House site...sometimes those damn firewalls can be useful :))

Ha! Only . . . a (ghost) monkey would never wear a bird head. Unless he twisted it off the bird first.

Or perhaps it is a transitory animal? Maybe someone should send this article to Cameron and Comfort.

This is almost enough to get me to believe in ghosts. :D

Good way for Sylvia to retire finally. Like it says in the article, they can't guarantee her psychic ability will come back. So sad....:D

Hmmm... I wonder who she will sue?

ETA: Come to think of it, could this be her "exit strategy"?

Critics such as James Randi have argued that Browne uses mentalist techniques to produce the illusion of mind reading and clairvoyance. Other critics just think she is full of crap.

Beautiful.
While we're here, I've been thinking of printing off a bunch of little cards to slip into her books at the bookstore. Just something like: Looking for more information about Sylvia? Visit www.stopsylviabrowne.com.
Nothing inflammatory, nothing that would damage the books or anything to cause serious trouble.

And, by the way, your avatar is seriously creeping me out.

I am just wondering could there be consequences if caught? If the books are not damaged then it is not damaging property. The book shop could tell you to leave and not come back. Anything else?

Prosyletizing without a license?:) Solicitation on private property? I'm loving the concept though, legal advice????
I'm thinking the cards could be very tastefully done, with a photo of Sylvia looking like an add. Unless one actually read the fine print with the website, it might take a long time for the book store to ever figure it out.

Very funny article! Perry is now my favorite ghost. I wish he would haunt me so that we can have a laugh and talk about the superiority of monkeys over birds.

Oddly, I've already done just that. Several Toronto libraries contain books by her with inserts that ask people to read Ian Rowland's book, so that they can be far more skilled as a psychic than Browne could ever hope to be.

I didn't know Perry personally, but I'm a big SGU fan, and making my way through the old episodes from before I was listening (up to about #60).
Listening to the old shows with him on makes me a little sad, he seems like he was such an awesome guy. This story made me feel pretty awesome.

Also, on a related note... I have a little online record mailorder I run. I'm always looking for awesome fliers and things to include with orders. If anyone decides to make a stopsylviabrowne.com ad that can be printed out, let me know.

Borders doesn't throw out the Christians or work from home scammers who do it so I think you're pretty safe. :p

(New York) Ucs News: Sylvia Browne the well known but controversial celebrity psychic received life threatening injures in a bizarre "accident" last night. According to witness attending the session with Browne, the lights dimmed, a blast of hot wind filled the room. While the attendees looked for the source of the disturbance, a heavy object apparently struck Brown fracturing her skull.
is it possible she farted? that would explain the burst of hot wind.
But the heavy object... I shutter to think what that could have been...

Am I the only one to notice that the name of the doctor treating her is Steven Novella, MD?
Unless there are two Steven Novella's with MD's, I think I know that guy.
Also you might want to check out some of the other articles posted by the author of this.
This appears to be a hoax if you ask me.

For a stuff up like the above, the easiest thing to do is to edit the post and delete the contents.
Then people like me do not have to read both posts to work out what happened.

Perry? Are you reincarnated?
Whoops, I didn't read the article yet. It IS about Perry.
