Chick Tracts are printed from graven images and contain pictures of God in heaven, therefore they are sin! But you probably already knew that.

They're misleading too. I expected pictures of naked chicks, like Playboy or maybe even Hustler.

I'm flabberghasted!
(Perhaps Chick and God has signed some kind of contract...)

Yeah, well making Ten Commandments idols violates the second commandment on the very same displays! Unless it's the Catholic version.
There are a bunch of versions of them (http://www.positiveatheism.org/crt/whichcom.htm
), and choosing any particular one is endorsing THAT ONE as the "correct" one.
So, post the hebrew ones, diss all the Christians. Post the Catholic one, diss the Jewish/Protestants. Post the protestant one, diss the Jewish/Catholics. Never mind what version is in the Muslim books.

Halftones are etched, not engraved. Can't nail Chick on that one.
Nice, the way Jack ripped off scenes from the Heston film, tho...

Around 1500 B.C., God destroyed Egypt to free 3 million Hebrew slaves.
3 million? I find that hard to believe. (I mean, even supposing I was willing to believe any of it)

Keep in mind kids, this is presented as fact in the Chick cartoons:
Why are the 10 Commandments banned from school?
"Because the evil world system that controls most schools hates Christ and his message".
Chick has missed the idea of Religious Tolerance entirely (AGAIN?!).

I have a harder time with the 1500 B.C. claim. I realize that he might have been rounding, but in the panel just previous to that one, Chick stresses this is a "true story." If you're going to claim something is true, you need to keep your facts as tight as possible. Even if he'd rounding off (the reason for the "around" 1500 B.C. I suppose) his claim is problematic for many reasons.
There has been some thought that the Hyksos of the 2nd Intermediate Period facillitated the departure of the Hebrews assuming the Exodus actually happened. They'd been long gone by 1500 B.C. though if he'd said 1600 B.C. he might be on more solid footing. A 1600 B.C. claim presents more problems though.
1. God destroys not Egypt, but a conquering people.
2. Said conquerors of Egypt were actually helping the Hebrews (it is thought).
3. The destruction of the Hyksos lead to a revitalized and even more powerful Egypt.
If we look at 1500 B.C. as being what Chick really meant, then he's crazy. The 18th Dynasty was in full swing at that point and though the dynasty would turn sour during Akenaten's reign, Egypt the world power was humming along nicely the whole time.
Apparently "destroy" doesn't mean to Egypt in Exodus, what it meant to Sodom and Gamorrah in Genesis.

"Grave" can also mean making a strong impression of something. Surely those ink prints are a form of strong impression.

This (http://members.tripod.com/puritan55/id34.htm) website seems to say drawing pictures or making other likenesses of God and Jesus is sin (called Idoltry, and worshipping idols is a sin).
This website (http://www.ariadne.org/studio/michelli/latemedgraven.html) only made the whole thing more confusing.
From what I have gathered from the second commandment, making false idols/graven images/pictures of Jesus is bad. Ok, insanely stupid overanalyzation, but does mass reproduction of the bible violate this rule? How about when Moses brought down the tablets, are those tablets self-damning. (Yeah, I think too much).
Hell, even admiring a fine work of art, an actor, or an idea will land you straight in the Lakes of Fire... Cruises on Lake Darwin are rather expensive, but the way the fire makes the sky look at night is well worth it.

This is so disappointing! Here I thought I had found something that was actually telling me the truth! But no! Not only is it lies but hypocracy, too! Oh, the humanity!
