From the site:

"The very fact you are here, reading this website means your intuition has drawn you here."

Nowhere to reply that Big Les sent me from a skeptic's forum. :)

I like the design. The page has a clear layout, the user interface is simple and you have a rich selection of belief systems and topics to choose from.

This way you can easily select in which faith or on which topic you want to be entertained.

I have two minor points of criticism though:

The first is that the user interface could be improved by implementing separate faith and topic selections.

The second is that the available belief systems miss the major religions. I would add a few proponents of more established faiths, like a catholic priest for online confessions, a zen-roshi who would give you apparently non-sensical answers to your questions, a skeptic who would doubt anything you tell her, and so on.

Thanks - I called and the dedicated representative, Smarma, said she already knew why I was calling.

The worst part of all this is that I found out about this a month or so ago in *cough* The Daily Mail. It wasn't mine, honest!

It launched on Valentine's Day *vomits*

Hang on to your gag reflex, here comes Cilla with a new wheeze...

http://www.destinycalls.co.uk/

For those on the forum who aren't familiar with Cilla Black - she is a British Television Presenter who has been offending our eyes and ears for about eight thousand years, presenting the lowest grade TV crap imaginable since seemingly before TV was invented.

She was also a hugely popular singer (and if you hear her voice you will find that incredibly hard to believe). When speaking she sounds like fingers being scraped down a chalk board while a concrete boring drill bit is pushed through your head on 'hammer' setting.

She is the also closely aligned with Satan.

Also as another complaint - why can they not resize photos correctly? (Or do some of their Psychics realy have heads about 3 inches wide?)

Still at least they do have a terms and conditions page:

"Your psychic reading is subject to your own personal interpretation. The information contained within it should at no time be regarded as legal, psychological, medical, business, or financial fact."

Always makes me chuckle.

Thought I'd take a look... so I did...

I wanted to know more so I clicked on ABOUT DESTINY CALLS on the left hand side

The first line that greets me is

Hello and welcome to Destiny Calls – a truly unique and different kind of Psychic service.

I scrolled down an clicked on THE READERS tab on the left. Photos and an intro. of the gifted... OK.

Well lets check this out, I thought. So I looked up another Psychic service

http://www.psychic-chat.org/xml/psychicreadingsall.php

I saw Aaron, Alan, Alex, Alex, Alison, Alison...

Hang on a minute I thought, I've seen them before... Going back to

http://www.destinycalls.co.uk/results.php

we find the self same psychics, same PIN Number, in the same order, with the same bios!! :jaw-dropp

So it looks, to me anyway, that this UNIQUE service aint so unique at all... Shame on you Cilla, your'e telling a lorra, lorra, lorra lies!

Bloody good work there vidiviciveni.

Whois doesn't seem to support the idea that they are one and the same. The other site belongs to this guy (http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&q=Craig+Hamilton-Parker&meta=) - Craig Hamilton-Parker. Whilst destinycalls.co.uk is registered by "Mark Wadsworth" of Milton Keynes.

Sharing resources maybe? Definitely not "unique", you're right there.

And started the third thread on this very subject...

Was it the one your fish'n'chips came in?

:bgrin:

Moment of Truth, Date with Destiny... Is there any cliche this woman won't sink to?

For those on the forum who aren't familiar with Cilla Black - she is a British Television Presenter who has been offending our eyes and ears for about eight thousand years, presenting the lowest grade TV crap imaginable since seemingly before TV was invented.

Has she covered "When I'm Sixty-four"yet?

She was also a hugely popular singer (and if you hear her voice you will find that incredibly hard to believe). When speaking she sounds like fingers being scraped down a chalk board while a concrete boring drill bit is pushed through your head on 'hammer' setting.

:dl:

That's pretty close, although the caricatured Scouser accent she uses always makes me think more of a pig being killed by having its intestines pulled out slowly.

As you note, unbelievably, she can't half sing.

Teh evidence:

More importantly, if we're going to talk about photos, how many hours did they spend Photoshopping Cilla's pic??? She only looks about 50-55, instead of the 94 she really is.

This gave me a lorra lorra laffs.

Problem with Cilla is that she always used to end up singing the same songs as Dionne Warwick, which isn't going to flatter anyone except Dionne Warwick. There's a great film clip of her recording the theme song from "Alfie", while Burt Bacharach tries valiantly to pretend that he isn't wincing three times a bar and praying for Dionne to materialise in the studio and roundhouse-kick Cilla out the door.

She sings the gentle opening quite beautifully, but once it rises to "what's it ALL about", your dog puts its paws over its ears and car alarms start going off outside.

I can barely bring myself to type the disgusting harridan's name, much less capitalise it - cilla black.

Until I saw this thread I was happily labouring under the misapprehension that the hideous old bag was dead. The fact that she had not shown up on some crappy Saturday night TV show for a few years let me indulge in the wonderful fantasy that she had carked it at some point and my world was a more pleasant place as a result.

Now you tell me that not only is the spawn of satan still alive but she's about to pollute our TV screens again.

The horror, the horror.

That may be the best description of her I've ever read. Marvellous.

I'm glad it's not just me that noticed the fact all the photos are wrongly resized, too.

And in one of her songs had possibly the stupidest lyric ever: "Ooh you are a mucky kid... as mucky as a dustbin lid..."

Simply horrible, and I can't get it out of my head.

That's OK, I was just paranoid that I'd committed the dreaded sin of repost (wouldn't be the first time).

Funny story about fish and chips (mmm) - last I stopped by a takeaway to get some, I got filmed buying them and then interviewed for Japanese TV. :eye-poppi

I know for a fact that I'm not the only Scouser (i.e. native of Liverpool) who loathes Cilla's guts. Her 'scouse' accent is incredibly phoney and affected - a friend of mine worked as a sound technician on one of her live shows a number of years ago and confirmed that the accent only appears when there's a microphone in her hand.

Nothing she does surprises me.

I love her old records!

What's it orl abowt, Alfeeeeeeeeeeeee.

OK, I fracking hate them. And now this tripe.

However...good bust on the 'unique' thing. Methinks that they've simply created a new brand for an outsourced service. I'm off to go a diggin...

I don't say this often (an understatement), but god bless the Daily Mail (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/articles/showbiz/showbiznews.html?in_article_id=557503&in_page_id=1773)...

And of course badpsychics (http://badpsychics.com/thefraudfiles/modules/news/article.php?storyid=744), who continue to kick psychic behind and not let them know it's coming ;)
