I seem to recall some normally-well-turned-out candidate appearing (and looking very uncomfortable in) in a set of overhauls and a checked shirt....Fortunately no pitchfork.

for the Brits, here is a reminder:
Google image search for William Hague baseball cap... (http://images.google.com/images?client=opera&rls=en&q=william+hague+baseball+cap&sourceid=opera&ie=UTF-8&oe=utf-8&um=1&sa=N&tab=wi)

Blech.
If she got any more phony she'd be covered in mold-release.

Phony?
Good grief no.
She's absolutely real.
Scary, isn't it?

Very. And this is why I hate watching any kind of television coverage of elections (the little bit I've seen has been accidental).
It's irrational, but I despise that woman, and it has nothing (or very little) to do with her political views. It's all to do with her shrill Mars Attacks alien voice when she's speaking to large crowds, and that her every move is so obviously calculated and scripted. And as far as I'm concerned, anybody who wants to be president as badly as she seems to should NEVER be allowed to govern anything.
So I think "phony" is accurate. I don't know who she really is. She's been plotting her campaign for so long I doubt she does either.
