Have skeptics here ever addressed the Inslaw affair?

Was the CIA responsible for the backdoor in Inslaw's PROMIS software?

Did UBL ever have access to the backdoor?

Was journalist Danny Casolaro killed while investigating elements of the Inslaw affair?

A United States House of Representatives report on the Inslaw affair thought that the circumstances of Casolaro's death were suspicious: "As long as the possibility exists that Danny Casolaro died as a result of his investigation into the INSLAW matter, it is imperative that further investigation be conducted."

Do the skeptics here know anything about Mike Riconosciuto?

I don't know.

Next time, try kicking things off by providing at least one link so that others can familiarize themselves with the topic. This is a start: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inslaw

His "connections" with the death of JFK and Allende, the "October Surprise", his witnessing of an alien autopsy, his implausible inventions, that kind of thing (http://www.911myths.com/html/tim_osman_was_bin_ladin_.html)? Yes, I've come across him before.

erm....isn't this Riconosciuto jerk the one who claims that Osama was Tim Osman?

Now, would it surprise anyone if an operative of a criminal enterprise based mostly around a certain ethnic group rubbed out a journalist who was asking incoivenient questions?

Wow I didn't know Riconosciuto was a part of these other outlandish stories. Thanks for the link Mike/Ref
So do skeptics here think Riconosciuto was involved in the Inslaw dealings at all or made it up? And did the DoJ really pirate PROMIS? The whole Inslaw affair seems somewhat complicated
based mostly around a certain ethnic group
which group would that be

There was obviously something going on with Inslaw, but Riconosciuto seems to have told so many implausible stories that I wouldn't want to rely on him as a witness.

You're right about it being complicated, too. It's probably best to focus on one core aspect at a time. Example: you asked originally "Was the CIA responsible for the backdoor in Inslaw's PROMIS software?", but how do we know there was a back door? I know various people repeat that, but is there a source other than Riconosciuto?

I'm still trying to figure out what the existence of INSLAW is even supposed to mean to me.

The only referrences i ever see to it are in connection with a shaddy mobster who is trying to sell us a line about not being a mobster, but suggesting some kind of national security ties.

Shrug.
