A woman in Okotoks, claiming to have several degrees is selling cures for autism.

She can't provide any evidence that her technique works, she can't provide evidence of having any degrees (apart from a two-year diploma), but insists that she's charging a fair price for her miracles.

For those who don't know Okotoks, it's not really a centre of science, medicine or research. It's a suburb of Calgary, and has about 15000 people.

"If I jumped up on stage offering a cure for autism for $10,000, I'd be stampeded by parents with their cheques," said Bennie. "I think if anybody is offering a cure for autism or says they have a cure for autism, that has to be questioned. That has to be questioned not only by the parents themselves, but by the medical community and by the government."

Exactly!
