View Full Version : What the heck is this?

I don't think I've seen this covered on here before.
Supposedly two of the sightings were over Mexico....I speculate that they may be from a rocket launched from either Vandenberg or White Sands.....otherwise I'm at a loss unless we have kites with really long tails flying in the Troposphere.

I think that it's strings of hundreds of helium balloons, perhaps incased in thin paper. The way it floats and turns makes me think this.

Don't any of these jackholes know how to focus a camera ???? ... or keep it steady ???
(Here's a hint ... put down the tequila and hold the camera with BOTH hands.)

The camera's to shaky to make much sense of it. Looks like one of those big sock-type nets that they use to hold helium balloons before they release them.
When he pulls back to normal focus the thing is so small that I have to wonder how he even (she? there's not mention as to whether the narrator shot the videos) spotted the object in the first place. Makes me wonder that someone knew it was coming and was searching the sky for it.
I do like the beginning of the the second video... "This looks like a dragon... or something." :spjimlad:

Yeah, the way it kinda wafted lazily led me to think it was a smoke trail or a kite tail but balloons are a good, and realistic, idea too. Of course it would be easier if the camera wasn't so being shook around so much.

Going to take a wild guess and say that instead of looking at something that is very far away, they are instead looking at something that is very close and therefore very out of focus. For instance, a spider on a web running off the spar of that antenna, and a caterpillar on a thread of silk hanging from the one of the upper power lines, specifically, the upper right line since it seems to be dangling behind the lower right line which is on a slightly shorter arm.
Since the video footage seems to be shot early in the morning ot late in the afternoon, the objects appear to glow because of the low angle of the sun. If it was early in the morning then the little colored dots would seem to be dew on the spider silk.
Seems a much more mundane answer than dragons cavorting in the sky. Although if there really was a dragon in the skies over Mexico city, I'd be on the next flight out there...

Paranormal phenomena by their very nature affect camera stability. The mystic ectoplasm disturbs focus, iris and multiple other camera functions. Didn't you see the whammy Bigfoot put on Patterson's camera?
And dude...you totally look like Neil Young when he was with the Blue Notes.

I thought it might be something up-close too but the way they shift positions and focus in and out of it seemingly on zoom makes me think it is really high up in the sky.

I'll go with that. Exactly consistent with what would be expected.

Looks exactly like helium balloons tied together.

Maybe it's related to THIS (http://forums.randi.org/showthread.php?t=108096)?

The balloon explanation would explain the individual spheres that float away. Kinda sad if the National University of Mexico really did analyze it and came up clueless.
Also it saddens me that they used Enigma music.

I think UFO photos/videos are always blurry and shaky because if it were clear and still, it would be obvious that it was something normal and nobody would post it as a UFO video. Though it would be nice to know what this blurry shaky video was recording though - if it were really balloons, etc. it would be nice to have someone come out and say "Yeah, we lost control of our balloon thingee - oops, sorry."

Like this one?

Yeah, cause a really good camera shot would make it obvious what something is. And nobody would bother to put it on YT. :D
(that was irony, just in case you couldn't tell)

Thus why I was only able to watch ten seconds of it before getting nauseous. I'm going with the balloon theory.

Don't interfere in the affairs of dragons

Focus and hold the camera steady. I should be able to make out a scaly texture for dragons.
Honestly, if people can film and photograph some rare animals that remain elusive in nature and we can see it nice and clear, there is no reason why shoddy filming such as this should be considered "evidence"

Yeah - check out the balloon gallery at this site:
http://www.bbopballoons.com/sculpture_gallery.htm
A lot of the configs would be quite similar to the objects in the videos. Especially indicative:
1) The objects are tethered together, but then break away.
2) The break-away objects are spherical.
3) The objects all appear to float with the wind rather than zip about under propulsion.
4) The colors are all within the normal range for commercial balloons.
5) Tethered balloons will float if they get loose.

And of course here you can see one of the mysterious craft being manipulated by its alien masters!

Me loves the mysterious craft being manipulated by aliens!! :jaw-dropp
Every time a child cries for a lost balloon, an alien gets its wings. :D

3-500 meters?
Balloons or faked. It is not impressive, especially with no references, no other witnesses(?), the music and the guy's narration.
Reminds me of that one with the witch on a broom that also looked like a balloon.

If this is a collection of tethered balloons, it could have been made by an abstract artist. It certainly for me, is an art form. It has all the ingredients of a modern art in the environment, rather like a Henry Moore sculpture set in a park. It also has the public reaction element like modern art. Even the response on this message board to it, could be considered as part of the art form.
Looking at the image in the balloon sculpture link, this suggestion does not look too far-fetched. Are there any "balloon" artists out there that would fit the description and timimg of this event?

Did you guys watch one of the linked videos that shows up at the end? The one about a UFO landing in Canada? LOL!
