Tam 6.5?

Is there one in Florida in Jan. 2009? If so, what dates?
I really need to know because the last time my trouble and strife booked us to St. Maartens when I wanted to be at a TAM that wasn't in Lost Wages.

I would doubt it will become a regular thing.

The reason I understood for having a TAM 5.5 this January was because of the moving of TAM from January to June this year. Wouldn't want the horrible withdrawal symptoms to knock out any skeptics for 6 months, would we?!

Of course, we never know what the possibilities will be in Vegas from year to year to always keep a TAM in June or January. My feeling is one a year is enough.....from both the work necessary to put one on once vs twice a year, and from attendance standpoints. Several folks this year went to TAM 5.5 and won't be at 6 (some of that however is the Galapagos cruise effect!).

"TAM 6.25" will be held Labor Day Weekend in downtown Atlanta, Georgia.

It is also known as the "Skeptrack" at DragonCon (http://www.dragoncon.org). Randi will be there, as will Derek, Swoopy, Steve Novella, Mike Stackpole, Dr. Phil (Plait), Alison Smith, many other skeptic-types, and tens of thousands of various nerds, dorks, dweebs, and geeks.

It's going to be a lot of fun. :D

I don't think a .5 every year is necessary. Perhaps a smaller-scale convention would be nice once every 2 or 3 years.

But, of course, keep the bigger one going every year!

I remember my summer vacation after TAM3, and a group of NE skeptics got together at Larry B's house (I was merely the excuse for a party). Rebecca was my navigator (pretty good one, too, we only got lost once and that was going back to Boston) and as we neared Larry's driveway, there was a sign posted stating "TAM 3.1462...."

Fun day--got to lay on a bed of nails and walk on hot coals.

My very first TAM/forum function. I remember it well. I drove out to some dude's cabin in the woods in the middle of nowhere Mass with two teenage girls trusting that we wouldn't end up as fodder for SB and her ilk.
