As if everything else he was doing wasn't crazy, goofy, harmful and irrational enough...

And here's a nice discussion of the, whatddya call that stuff? Oh yeah, the scientific proof regarding the air.
http://www.xenu-directory.net/index.html#about
Whatever small reduction there actually was left in the corrected results, it could easily be explained without resorting to Scientology's Purification Rundown as the cause, as noted by two experts from Cambridge Environmental Inc. They further noted the many flaws in Dahlgren's paper, and given how dangerous the Scientology's Purification Rundown can be to the health of people, they qualified the paper as unconscionable.
In the leaked video, Tom Cruise also said that scientologists "create better realities." Unfortunately, these so-called "better realities" often dismiss scientific evidence, and even worse, as in the present case, the evidence is fabricated.
See "Deceitful study used in promoting Scientology detoxification program" for details.
At this point, I'm confused about the overlap in wacky theories. Why was the EPA lying to Tom? How does that tie in with the Loose Change stuff? Somebody needs to make a master conspiracy chart and everybody needs to stick to it. We can't have the Psych's and the j00z and all the other THEMs competing for credit like battling terrorist organizations. There's enough wack to never be wackalacky up in here... plenty to go around.
ETA:
I never post over here and I don't read much in CT because it makes my head 'splode much quicker and much more painfully than even in the R&P section. So if there is a sardonic conspiracy master chart (tm?) somewhere NWO style, I ask forgiveness for my oversight.

Tom had not gone all the way yet,but making false claims about the Government Lying about 9/11 is a damn good first step.

Kids, if you can't figure out the really, really simple stuff, how do you expect to understand 9/11?

"Truth" movement hates free speech (bans opposition) if it disagrees with their world view. So it's not totally backward.

"truth" movement sells crap to promote their cause.
"truth" movement not fact based (proving facts are to be avoided at all cost)
The differences are not that great.

I was trying to figure out the opposing sides around here in this CT forum and well, I tried to read some other posts to see the cast of characters stance-- who is a troofer or twoofer or what have you and who was not so I could get the gist of posts in my thread.
Then I came across this:
Pf = [58 x 10^6 kg x 9.8 m/s^2 ] / 4000 m^2 = 0.14 MPa
and realized that I really miss Xenon and SunniMan and even that ol' Tai Chi. I could at least understand what the f to make fun of them for...

I nearly posted about this a while after the Cruise video leaked, but I couldn't get my head around what he was actually claiming. It reeked of truthiness though.
It isn't just him though. Scientology had hordes of ambulance-chasing, woo-peddling "volunteer ministers" there after 9/11, calling for silence to reduce the harmfulness of the "engrams" instilled in victims, and performing "dianetic assists" (touching) to alleviate their enturbulated theta.
Make sense? No, thought not. What a bunch of loons.

So now saying that the air around Manhattan wasn't safe to breath after 9/11 is being a 9/11 conspiracy theorist? At what point is being a debunker and a government apologist one in the same?
FSM
6th March 2008, 05:56 PM
Um, now, I guess.
I always thought I debunked. I seldom thought I apologized for anything I didn't screw up my damned self, particularly if the government is the one messing up, but hey-
This is your section, not mine. I'll take your word for it. So I'm an apologist.
(Psst. Hey, guys. What IS a government apologist exactly?)
My point wasn't that it was silly to be frightened of the air quality after 9/11. My point however, was that it IS goofy as all get out to use Co$ tech and terminology like "OUTPOINT" to immediately decide that the EPA is lying to you about the air. And also, to believe that an entire agency would lie to you about something as important as the air quality without ANY proof whatsoever is sort of my idea of what a conspiracy theory is... 'I know THEY are lying... and if THEY are lying, then THEY are up to something. Something horrible. It's all about the secret plan to rule the world by ____________________ ." (Fill in blank with appropriate wackology.)
Again, I could have it all confused. I'm no expert here.

I'm not sure my original meaning came through there. Bofors has a lot of experience at "understanding" 9-11 despite not being able to figure out the really, really simple stuff.
Yeah, I know, if you have to explain it it's not funny.

The verb meaning "to respire" is breathe. With an e.
The phrase you were looking for is one and the same.
And don't tell me that "it doesn't matter because everyone knows what I mean." Imprecision in writing is a symptom of imprecision in thought.

Bleh. How gross is it to think of letting some stranger stick his finger all over you so he can imagine that he's shoo-ing away invisible alien ghosts? Well, I mean under those circumstances it's gross, that is... Hell, who hasn't done it for fun on a Saturday night with the lights down low and your honey wearing a Xenu costume?
Wait, maybe that's just me. Nevermind. ;)
LOVE the avatar, by the way Big Les. (Have you seen the Freewinds Birthday video yet? If not, it's at the bottom of this thread (http://forums.randi.org/showthread.php?t=106807).)

Well. LastChild gets credit for one thing right. The air close to the WTC was not safe to breath for many days due to debris in the air.

I have! Have you seen the "In The Navy" version? Good stuff.
So, does Tommy boy have anything this time. Did the authorities mislead over air quality?

I have to apologize to Tom Cruise.
Look at this:
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3076626/
I misunderstood what the site was saying above. They were pointing out that the Purification Rundown numbers of eliminating toxins from the body was wacky according to studies about it done by non-Co$ people.
Looks like Tom had it right on the EPA screwing the pooch regarding air quality, but it looks like it was a result rampant fear and poor, overly hasty decisions on the air quality results instead of deliberate lies. I could be wrong about that too. Maybe the EPA was a part of some kind of massive conspiracy, but I'll usually go with incompetence over intentional lying most times. And also, my mistake was not part of any global conspiracy, nor was I paid by the National Federation of Global Apologists to post. I just wasn't carefully thinking about it. :o
So sorry Tom! And sorry CT! I wasn't the careful skeptic I should be when I posted and I was ill prepared for the careful and circumspect eye of the CT posters. Thanks for making me a better skeptic by pointing it out gently. :)

This is what it's all about IMO - caring about the truth of a matter enough to admit when you're wrong (even if there's still some truth-bending going on or assumption of nefarious intent where none is in evidence).
The important issue here are the "voluntary ministers", "touch assists", recruitment etc etc. It wouldn't matter if 9/11 really WAS a full-blown CT, I still wouldn't want them filling any support system vacuum (or god forbid, gaining any real authority as a result).
