View Full Version : Need an alternative to Google Adsense!

UG! I have my account with Google Adsense terminated or suspended and I've despirately tried to get it back and the hundreds of dollars I'm owed.

This is so annoying. My website is pretty much opposed to things like homeopathy and other anti-science stuff and I believe my visitors might have clicked woo product ads that adsense put up (because I had not fully configured the filtering I guess) and done so becaue they knew it would get me money.

Obviously google does not like this, so I'm out. The problem is that I'm really spending a lot of time on content and I pay for hosting out of pocket. Ga! I was really hoping for some income from the site even if small. I get 700+ visitors a day, so I'd like to get *something* back.

Does anyone have any ideas for an alternative?

Fess up - did you click the ads yourself? Presumably Google ditched you because the clicks were coming from one or two IPs?

As for the filtering, I doubt there's any way to remove woo products, sadly :(

So you are probably better off without Google.

No I certainly did not. I actually only clicked ads on my own page twice and both times it was because I actually was interested in the product. Or at least, I was interested in finding out exactly what it was.

That'll do it. I've heard too many stories like this to even contemplate clicking ads on my own sites.

Have you tried Monster.com? If you live in California, then http://www.caljobs.ca.gov is also pretty good; that's what led me to my current income source. I do not recommend Dice.com, though; they never did me any good at all, and joining them simply resulted in my receiving a lot of unwanted spam.

You could always seek independent sponsors.
