Due to work constraints over the past few months I missed the release of LC:FC and the plethora of comments that may have resulted from it. I remember the folks at LCF were looking very forward to its release. Some were saying Gravy must be shaking in his boots. Basically what happened with it?

What new theories did the movie reveal?
How was it recieved on both sides of the debate?
Is there a list of the claims it has made, and how they were debunked (like the previous versions)?

Well, there was supposed to be a "screening" of LCFC at a twoofer's house in New Jersey but it is, apparently, being cancelled due to lack of interest.

It's kind of like what happens when a bad movie hits the theatres... a few people go and see that it's bad, and they spread the word for people to avoid it. It would be a first time in recorded history~! for that to happen to a straight-to-video/web stream release, I think.

Of course, the reasons for avoiding it were largely because it lacked the impact of the first three versions. Who cares if it was accurate or not... it just wasn't impactful enough!

I think the fact that "What happened with LC:FC?" even needs to be asked is pretty telling, especially from someone who knew it was coming out before the fact. Considering it was supposed to make the masses rise to their feet and call for revolution, you know it was a pretty big flop when even the interested parties lost interest 2 days later.

We (myself included) always draw parallels between the Twoofers and creationists. I will give the creationists some credit here (mark this down, it's the only time it'll ever happen): The Creationists are better at what they do than the Truthers. Their arguments are no more sound, nor are they based on more logical arguments. But they are better at making them sound scientifically valid to the uneducated.

The biggest problem with Final Cut is that it backs away from many of the more outrageous claims made in I and II. Although those claims were weak and easily debunked, they made the original film entertaining and edgy. But having taken so much flak even within the Troofer community for the mistakes and erroneous conclusions, Dylan watered down the final product to the point to the point where it's in competition with 9-11 Press for Truth.

They also completely missed the timing; September 2006 came and went without the new Loose Change, as did September 2007.
