Can someone help me find a post, from a while back ,that included a long list, describing what you would assume was part of the Jesus story, but was actually part of another ' Messiah ' or ' Hero ' myth..
Any help would be appreciated...

there's this one: Orpheus (http://host.randi.org/vbulletin/showthread.php?s=&threadid=21143&highlight=orpheus)
and this one The Titulus (http://host.randi.org/vbulletin/showthread.php?s=&threadid=11486&highlight=titulus) and this one Mithras (http://host.randi.org/vbulletin/showthread.php?s=&threadid=20893&highlight=mithras)
There's a lot in The Golden Bough but you'll need a few years to process it all.

Thanks a lot Kullervo ..
What I had in mind was a list that was complete..
It was sort of a " jeopardy " exchange where it listed some facts,
And when you expected the answer to be " Jesus " it was actually someone else..
It involved maybe 5 - 8 different legends..
It may have been a link that was posted in a thread, but it seems the whole list was here.. I'm still searching...

Oh, dang, I remember that one, sort of. I can't spare the time to search it out now. You might PM Dr. X who seemed to be up on these things.

I know the one you're talking about. It included things like, born to a virgin, was moved away during the slaughter of all the first born, performed his first miracle at a wedding, fed the masses with loaves and fish, was crucified, and rose from the dead three days later.
Something like that (and even many of those details are right, such as the first miracle part)
