Ugh, Bill Birnes from UFO Hunters annoys the hell out of me. He was presented with scientific proof about a piece of evidence and I forgot exactly what he said, but he was beating-around-the-bush about its results. And in one episode, he looked into the camera and said "skeptics are wrong" in regards to UFOS existing. I have only seen 2 episodes, so I do not know if he is like this in every episode. The only grounded person on that show seems to be Ted Acworth!

I like Bill Birnes in a way. Sort of like a grandpa figure. But you are right about how annoying he is on the show. I remember that in one episode he said, "we've debunked the debunkers," and "we've sent the skeptics running" and I was surprised. The "debunkers" and the "skeptics" weren't present so how does he know he sent them running? Sheesh.

I've heard him on the "Paracast" and I enjoy him, but he is definately on the side of believing rather than being on the more skeptical and analytical side.

I don't know what skeptics he sent running, considering all the evidence he gets comes out "inconclusive." Not one piece of evidence proved that UFO's exist. There was something caught on film that they presented to some experts and the experts could not identify what it was. The aircraft had something spinning on the end of it. It was strange looking and I couldnt decide what it was either.

It seems as though he takes evidence that is inconclusive and automatically assumes its a UFO of some sort bc science has not come up with definitive results

Yep, you're exactly right. He and his team don't come up with anything conclusive but he can say the debunkers and skeptics are wrong? Maybe he can take on some of their theories and disprove them, but since he doesn't come up with an answer himself he is really out of line to say he sent ANYONE running.

I was actually considering subscribing to his magazine but I don't know now that I will. The subject interests me and overall I sort of like Bill, but I don't trust any info that he would give. Yet I will continue to watch his show, even tho no-one can really take it seriously. Am I hopeless or what? ;)

If I recall correctly, Bill Birnes is the same guy that co-authored the book by Phil Corso, which was an incredibly misleading story about Roswell that was full of fabrications and falsehoods. To me that says enough about Birnes.

I admitt that I watch the UFO Hunters, as well as many shows like that. I guess its better than the rest of the crap that is on tv. Though, I watch the show purely for entertainment, not because I believe the stuff that Birnes says. I would definitely not suscribe to his magazine lol. I guess when you want to believe something exists SO badly, you will say just about anything to try and prove it.

No surprise that Birnes would co-author a book like that!
