its a pity that the skeptics dont join Astrology/fengshui lists to debunk the bastards and instead stay here in their ivory tower. Dont expect wows to join the forum to see what the other side thinks. In my case it took me 30 years as i took for granted the certainty with which astrologers replied to the usual critics, like twins, sideral zodiac etc.
Just see the kind of crap they tell people at astrofengshui@yahoogroups.com
Hi Dinesh,
You can't build up your karmic at the last minute when you need
it. It's something that you should have inherentley been doing from
your heart.
This is what I believe Joseph is saying Please correct me if i'm
wrong.
Best wishes,
Donna
Hi Dinesh Shah
Your luck cycles determine when you make/lose money. However, to override luck there is one thing you can do - build up your karmic account. In Chinese, this is called Ji Yinde (accumulation of virtuous deeds without publicizing). It will help making more money when the luck cycle indicates making money, losing less when the luck cycle indicates losing money, and even turning temporary loss to eventual gain. Start today to help people around you with money or your effort. It will work.

Actually I've observed what looks like karma. Being an older man I've observed despicable people who looked like they were going to get away with bullying, stealing, abusing other people but in the long run their bad habits caught up with them. They end up alone, dead or injured way before their more decent peers. Nothing supernatural just the end result of a life poorly lived. Of course this happens to decent people but hey: look at the life they led before they were born. NOT.

but thats not karma.
i know of a guy who use to bully everyone onhis village till a kid lost his temper and shot him in the eyes leving him blind for good.
according to karma, if you give to others now, one day someone else will give to you even if its a stranger. Thats what i question.
In mjy view karma is theway the upper castes in India have of controlling the masses. «Youre poor because you did something in a past life» something like that

It's hard to do. You see, for some strange reason, woos object to you debunking the object of their woo. They will toss you out quickly and delete all your posts if you do so on their site.

i agree on that. But you could create a Woo forum to attract lots of Woos...and then debunk it all

The problem with creating parody sites is that if they are good enough to fool the woos, then they are good enough to convince the woos that your bogus arguments are correct. You wind up recruiting for them.
I don't doubt that there are woos out there who think Landover Baptist is a real church.

I thought Karma was what tied you to the circle of life, preventing your soul from escaping the chain of re-birth to the eternal bliss.
It is, to my understanding (and for lack of a better description), the wanting of Earthly things.

It hasn't occured to me to be such a jerk.
I find it the height of rude, pushy arrogance for a stranger to march up onto my porch, Holy Babble in hand, for the purpose of bringing me a "message" I never asked for, don't want, and no longer believe. Frankly, I found it rude and pushy even when I was a fundie, ok? I also find they never really intend to bring me any message, but only to issue a challenge to my beliefs, or the lack thereof. I find it insulting.
Why, then, would I think it right to do the same rude, pushy, arrogant thing to others, regardless of the sort of woo they clutch?
They know we're here, or can find us easily enough if they want. If they want a differing view, they are free to seek it. I fail to see how it could further any dialogue for me to stroll onto their porches and shove my "message" in their faces, unasked.

There's a classic example of a double standard. Skeptics are in an "ivory tower" for not actively going out and lecturing astrologers, yet it's only natural to expect astrologers not to seek us out.
Of course, if we did lecture to them we would be pushy and arrogant.

I usually talk to myself that doing good stuff is good for your karma; but I mean it because I wanna do good stuff in my life.
I'm not even going to talk about the idea that if you do good stuff, good stuff will happen to you. Too easy ;)

Some people call this "Paying it forward". You reward good deeds by doing good deeds yourself and hope that it will influence others to do so as well. Frankly, I think this is a wonderful meme for any society to hold. By making society better, I make things better for myself, even if not instantaneously. No mystical claptrap required.

I find it hard to believe that you've posted on this forum for a year and a half without seeing all the messages saying, "I've been banned from XXXXXXX board for asking questions, despite that board's stated policy of allowing frank and open discussion of XXXXXX." Of course, I'm not asking you to take my word on it; go ahead, register on their board and ask some questions in the most neutral language you can think of. See what happens.
