You mean the one that was there after the collapse had already begun and the eastern mechanical penthouse had vanished inside the building?

So it was the eastern mechanical penthouse?

It's what happens when the building slowly warps out of place due to fires weakening the steel supports.

No the mechanical penthouse was likely around floor 45 when the kink really shows up. The trouble is that most Truther videoes deliberately remove the first 10-15seconds of the collapse and so start with the kink there and collapse well underway, a lot even start after the western mechanical penthouse has started to drop into the buildings interior, they just show the very last part, the Northern facade falling.

The kink is caused by the buildings structure giving way inside of it, the collapse that allowed the eastern penthouse to fall inside the building creates the kink because the center of the building has slumped downwards as the collaspe starts.

Where'd you get this idea? I mean, even if you ignore the penthouses, that kink only appears as the bulk of the building begins collapsing. Certainly not "just prior".

Depends on which kink he means. I'm assuming the one that they usually point to in the roofline after the penthouses are gone just as the rest of the building starts to fall. If he means the one in the top of the eastern penthouse as it's going, that was cuased by that part of the collapse.

The main support for the roof was up the center of the building. Part of the support system failed from one side. This started dragging the roof down unevenly.

It appears to me that the roof may have broken at that particular point because there is evidence that something heavy impacted right there during the collapse of the north tower.

Nothing really at all odd about it.

Back on topic..... JCM, maybe you could post a still of the particular kink you're talking about. Most of us recognize the sequence of the collapse from the various videos and I'm sure someone could give you a better answer if we had a visual reference.
