Barack Obama uses the Obama Girl's 54 Double "D" to start his campaign.

This message was preached on 16 February 2008.

(For the record Obama Girl was not Obama's idea or his campaigns' idea. She and her friends did that on their own.)

Clearly this guy is an extreme racist. He says that Obama was "born trash" because his parents were different races. I'm sure he won't be getting the anti-miscegenation vote in any case.

???

Obama didn't start Obama Girl, she works for http://www.barelypolitical.com/

There was a ____ Girl for almost every candidate, not one of them official. The best one by far was Huckabee Girl:

Some of the comments on that Huckabee Girl video are horrible and they can't even see its a joke!

You really can get away with saying the most vile, hateful things if you put the word "Reverend" in front of your name.

Man, this guy makes Jeremiah Wright look moderate. I feel sorry for those young kids standing behind him who have been conscripted into this. He says black people who don't appreciate the Clintons are lower than maggots. Talks about cutting people's heads off (apparantly an actual threat). Insults black people in the most degrading terms. I wonder if he was talking to an empty room or if he actually has a following besides those standing behind him?

I wonder if he knows the shield on his podium is remarkably similar to an English flag?

eta: Hell, there's even lions on it, why does he have an English shield on his podium?

Yeah, I noticed that, 3 lions even.

Now this is exactly why you should always draft an outline before you give a speech.

What a disappointment. I mean, where were the 54 double Ds as promised?
I watched it 4 times, and the most I could make out were 36 single Ds.

"Obama is a long-legged MacDaddy"

There, proof of free will. Which possible deterministic Universe could come up with something like that?

Preach that gospel of prosperity! Yeah! Then call another man a pimp. Riiiiight!

Dude, ya got nothing over Pastor Wright.

It must be really easy to get through seminaries, it appears any idiot can do it.

What a moron.:boggled:

Is than Obama a moron for choosing to be advised over a 20 year period by a moron?

Could this actually be an example of people (gasp!!) hearing their pastor say things they don't agree with, and then don't walk out?

Regardless, I dismiss this dangerous lunatic with even greater glee than for Wright, not only for his words, but because he's wearing the clothes of delusion.

What is his problem with Obama's legs?

I don't recall "Thou shalt not be lanky" anywhere in Leviticus.

Yes, though Wright is less offensive to me than this guy.

I have to defend Pastor Wright here. He grewc up in the era of Jim Crow. He knows that our past as a nation is noit all that pure. He knows that here aree still people who long for the good old days when darkies knew their place and when everyone knew that white folk were the source of all that is good in human civilization, and all manner of garbage like that.

But I have a problem with Pastor Manning.

Has this man read the Book of Revelations? Does he not grasp the lesson of the Harlot, riding on the back of the Beast?

The Harlot is God's nominal Church, lusting after worldly wealth and power. The Beast is mundane government, ruling in the name of the Harlot. Neither of them likes the other much, but they are, for now, allied, in order to lead the sheeple around by the nose.

The Harlot better watch out though. That Beast is going to rip her to shreds when she no longer serves the Beast's purposes.

People, this is why we have a separation between Church and State, and why Christ said:"My Kingdom is not of this world."

Manning can blather all he wants to about those constructionm projects and the beautiful condos that have been constructed in Atlanta, thanks to the Clintons. Do those pricey dwellings raise the material standard of living of the average black laborer in Atlanta? Or are they a tax burden on those neighbors in lower-priced but barely affordable homes around them. Those sort-of-affordable homes are woth a lot more money now, if the people decide to sell and hope that they can find something they can afford elsewhere.

Manning is buying into the trickle-down theory of ecconomics (which could better be called "piddle-down") and catering to the blandisments of the entreprenurial class.

Pastor Manning is not half the shepard that Pastor Wright has shown himself to be.

I agree with the semantic content of your post, but this bit confuses me.

How the Hell can you make sense of the acid-trip of Revelations, much less interpret precisely what the figures represent?

leftysergeant

I approach it from several viewpoints at once. I have some knowledge of ancient mythologies from all Mediterranian and Mesopotamian cultures. I read a lot of theolgy. I am a poet. I can't do math in my head, but can read three languages. I also have a knowledge of how others have interpretted Revelations.

Strangely enough, I think that Jehova's witnesses have nailed down the meaning of the Harlot. Manning is pimping for the Harlot.

I like your take on Revelations. Will check with my next door neighbor, he's a JW, and see if he has any thoughts on it.

Revelations is a fun read, no matter how you approach it.
