Some 800 workers from WTC 6 were safely evacuated within 12 minutes of the first plane hitting the North Tower at about 8:46 am, according to a Sept. 18 Washington Post article by Stephen Barr.

The Barr piece is the only known article published about WTC 6. However Barr failed to mention the explosion that apparently devastated the building, just minutes after the workers had escaped with their lives. A spokesman for FEMA told AFP that because the building was considered to be very dangerous, there was no data collection from WTC 6.

The explosion on McArdle’s FBI tape recorded after the impact on the South Tower, could have been one of the explosions in the sub basement levels Willie Rodriguez talks about. NY1 an internet news service from NY had excellent long shots of the entire drama, certainly no missile was visible simultaneous with the South Tower air strike, nor was there any fallout that would have accompanied a missile strike, however the flaming wreckage identified as part of the landing gear, and one engine was visible.

When the South Tower began to disintegrate at 10:00 am the station was showing close up chromatically aberrated images, it was not till the collapse was well under way, that the long shots put back onto the screen. So we are unable to see if a missile struck at that time, or to time the emergence of the explosive cloud emanating from the vicinity of WTC’s 4, 5 & 6, which was a different color and texture than the collapse material.

The Readers Digest ran a story during the WTC construction stating explosives would be built into the buildings to facilitate their eventual demolition.

Update: Here's the scoop behind the "pre installed explosives" thing, Paul Laffoley worked in the early 1960's for Emery Roth and Sons, a prominent New York City architectural design firm. On Mike Hagen Radio Orbit on February 21 2007, he said he helped to design the WTC with explosive charges built into the towers, in order to take them down neatly at any time.

Um, not to defend members of the truth movement or anything, but that is a function of vBulletin. When you are posting a response to something, it temporarily shows you as being logged out. There WERE , however, at least one, possibly two engines photographed leaving the south tower after the aircraft struck. Or it may have been an engine and a landing gear. Both were found down-range. I do not understand how anyone as stupid as Jack White can even get a picture right-side up. The hole was not blown out of WTC 6. The roof was staved in by sections of the perimeter columns of the towers that weighed more than the weight the columns in WTC 6 were supposed to handle as a live load. Look at a high-res blow-up of the photographs and you will see perimeter columns have been driven into the basement of WTC 6.

There was never a pyroclastic flow in NYC. There was, however a plume of smoke from one or two vehicles burning at the base of the south tower, and an enormous turbidity flow after the collapse.

I do not agree with the poster on a missile hitting WTC 6. It was WTC 7 that was hit by the missile; it was fired by a fighter sent to shoot down flight 175. Individuals did report seeing missiles (there were two) fly seconds after the impact of flight 175 into WTC 2. A reporter from CNN live said there were reports of a missile being seen.

The calls into police about a missile from the Woolworth Building was erroneous. People did see a missile but it came from a F -16.
