A man who claims that he was molested by Bigfoot as a child was ordered to serve 20 years in prison yesterday for his own molestation-related activities.

Defense attorney Terrence Patton cited Morrill's mental health issues in seeking leniency from Judge J. Howe Brown.
Morrill told an investigator preparing his pre-sentence report about being sexually assaulted by the legendary Bigfoot, a North American folklore character said to be between 7 and 10 feet tall, and covered in dark brown or dark reddish hair. Patton said Morrill really believes the assaulted happened.

I don't buy it, in terms of Morrill really believing he was assaulted by a "BF"...from the story:

This is not the first time Morrill has been charged with sexual crimes, but sounds like it is the first time he's mentioned the "BF assault". The guy is just trying to weasel out of his current charges buy using what he hopes is a novel insane defense. After all, what sane person would make such a outlandish claim?

Robert is saying that if he really was raped by Bigfoot it would make him crazy. That was supposed to explain his statement. Nobody mentions that belief in Bigfoot is pretty close to crazy under any circumstances.

Bigfoot's hole is no bigger than 2 meters. Just like a wombat. Very hard to hit in a x wing fighter if your fighting a space station the size of a moon.

There have been numerous historical accounts of "sexual assaults" committed by Bigfoot. None have been involved in this kind of context. FWIW, nobody has publicly claimed to have sexually molested a Bigfoot, nor has anyone been accused of that.

I would describe the Bigfooter reaction to this as something other than an attempt to legitimize Bigfoot. The comments I quoted are common within that social group. I see them as part of a continual personal testimony to believing that Bigfoot exists. IOW, many of these people will remind each other that they believe (or assert BF's existence) at almost any occasion.

I'm a bit surprised that I didn't see the most common Bigfooter comment that comes up almost every time that the media mentions Bigfoot. They frequently say that this sort of thing undermines their efforts at legitimate research of an undocumented creature. They are constantly worried/concerned that the media portrays Bigfoot belief as something kooky.

Oh now, you are just assuming this Bigfoot was male and then a further assumption of what happened during the molestation. It may not have involved the Bigfoot 'penetrating' Morrill. Use your imagination, if you dare. Of course Nightscream is more of a researcher and may want to know what Morrill has to say about his claimed abusive encounter.

Right. It could have been that a real Bigfoot just hugged this guy or threw a rock at him and he trumped it up for added drama. Nightscream shows how ridiculous a Bigfooter can get (and he is not the one accused of child molesting). He is actually asking the BFF crowd their opinion on whether this guy had a BF encounter. What would happen if somebody answered "yes, I think he did have an encounter"? After all, a child molester could run into a Bigfoot just like anyone else. Patterson was a deadbeat money leech and he caught one on film.

Would agree a very good chance that he has been immersed in Bigfoot lore and literature. Would seem to be a story that would not just appear out of nowhere, or simply drawn from re-runs of "Bigfoot and Wildboy". Though it isn't out of the question. Sounds like he has at least absorbed some of the more common sources of legend, with a possible focus on risque accounts. There is at least one "Bigfoot porn" movie, the "sexual encounters" anecdotes, and of particular note, a similarity to recent claims by Janice Carter/Coy. It's either a insanity plea tactic, or, it may be a bizarre attempt at claiming an "established precedent".
