I don't known if this would be the right place, or if I am even allowed to do this (1), but due to downsizing, I'll be moving into another room soon, which I will share with another PhD student. In my present one, there is a number of Nature magazines which I don't really need. They were left here by the previous PhD student. They are in no particular order on the shelf, but it seems to be a complete collection for 1998-2000, with some issues from other years. In case these are just thrown away (which seems likely, as we'll also be downsizing the library), I just wanted to know if anyone would be interested in these magazines. Theoretically, I could send them anywhere, but as there's quite a lot of them, I am guessing I wouldn't be interested in paying the shipment myself, so I'd appreciate if whoever wants them was willing to do so (2).

As I said, we're also downsizing the internal library here, and today it was revealed to me that I was to be one of the two people to handle that. This also means that we'll try to get rid of things that we can't store, and have no use for. I don't really know what's in there at the moment, but I believe that there's a somewhat complete collection of Journal of Experimental Zoology, as well as other books and stuff. As I am not in any way authorised to give that away as far as I know (3), I would like to know if someone who is affiliated with some kind of institute or university would be interested in these. If so, maybe I could ask the prefect or whoever is in charge to make some kind of formal transfer to your institute. But I am guessing that most institutes that actually are interested in that journal already have it.

Nevertheless, if you want it, don't hesitate to tell me, and I'll see what I can do. I don't know when this will happen, though, but chances are it's quite soon (within a month).

(1) I checked the membership agreement, and I don't believe this falls under "commercial advertisement", though the rules do not elaborate.
(2) Or, alternatively, come to Gothenburg, Sweden, and collect them.
(3) But I am, apparently, authorised to just decide that we need to throw it away.
