I have not read Hitchens or Dennett's books, yet I hope to get around to the latters' soon (Hitchens has the tendency to either enrage me or enlighten me).

I have just finished both of Sam Harris' books, and have to argue that The End Of Faith is a better book than The God Delusion. Dawkins' book is surely one of its kind and hopefully the one that is 'remembered' as it were (covering all of the bases), but I find The End Of Faith to be a fantastic intellectual journey of the stranglehold religion has had on society. It also strips religion bare, making you realise the absurdity of still hanging on to this archaic system in an age of Nuclear weapons.

The God Delusion is also, a wonderful book, and far more poetic and comedic. I am happy with both on my shelf.

I've read all those that you listed and thoroughly enjoyed them. If I had to choose, and it's a close choice, I'd say the God Delusion is the most persuasive and most accessible book, and therefore more likely to have an impact. I am also a fan of Dawkins style of writing which may have pushed me in that direction. I think Dennett's book should have the most impact in terms of actually offering solutions but I don't think the people who need to read it are as likely to.

I've only read two so far, but have recently bought 'End of Faith' and 'God is not Great', so cannot vote yet.

I've read and enjoyed them all, but I really like Michael Shermer's various books. Robert Wright's "The Moral Animal", about evolutionary psychology is not technically a new atheist book, but it does a great job of explaining why human beings can be moral without ceiling cat watching them.
