I have a nasty virus on my computer and was wondering if anyone might be able to offer some help. It's called New Malware.j
I have McAfee through Comcast but McAfee can't seem to remove this.

Have you tried Spybot Search and Destroy?

I have found it effective for the viruses that specifically attack the major anti-virus programs.

From back in 2005, this seems to have been floating around (and it's sometimes called a Trojan, not a virus).

Had a browse and the macafee site says it's a heuristic decision - i.e. it found some virus-like code, I'd guess maybe a polymorphic. They ask you to send a sample for analysis.

That's what symantec has on that virus. You can find out how to manualy remove it by clicking on the REMOVAL tab.
