Well, he's in it solely for the attention. Killtown simply won the lottery by having people pay attention to an early list of questions and anomalies he placed on the Internet.

He is caught between his desire for fame and public exposure of his real identity. It's a classic case of the jobless teenager living at home/40-something fat guy living in his mom's basement. He can't stalk mainstream characters like 'Us Be Change' does because that would place him on camera. As his fame is usurped by the big dawgs (Alex Jones, Griffin, Loose Change, etc.), he has to trawl message boards in the hope of gaining a few converts that will stroke his ego.
