I would like to announce, that after a long protracted illness, the truth movement passed away last night. It is survived by a handful of believers still hoping for its resurrection. The funeral drew 7 people, 3 of which were at the wrong funeral, 2 who were moon-hoaxers, 1 flat earther and Dylan Avery (in disguise). A reception will be held in a basement somewhere in NJ.

For all intents and purposes it is dead, but it will linger on in some form like all such "movements."
They will still produce the odd "documentary" featuring the same ol' crap set to a different soundtrack, and we'll still see spambot attacks on internet forums, but that seems to be dropping off sharply.
Even LCF is dead, while here at JREF there has been a massive reduction in both twoofer quality and quantity.
Yesterday in Toronto the monthly "day of action" drew a whopping three people (http://9-11.meetup.com/282/calendar/7705029/), up slightly from last month's attendance figure of one (http://9-11.meetup.com/282/calendar/7427012/).
The Twoof movement would be doing itself a big favour if they simply disappeared all together from public view. Sticking around in such pathetically small numbers only makes their sorry state of affairs all the more apparent.

I see dead people.
In your dreams?
[shakes his head no]
While you're awake?
[nods]
Dead people like, in graves? In coffins?
Standing on street corners like regular people. They don't see how irrelevant they are. They only see what they want to see. They don't know they're dead.
How often do you see them?
The 11th or 12th of every month. They're at Ground Zero or at Dundas Square in Toronto.
Yeah I keep hearing God is dead too.
Worst part is they compare themselves to Ghandi, Churchill, Rosa Parks, Nelson Mandela and even God himself.

Why does this remind me of an old Bugs Bunny/Daffy Duck cartoon? You know, the one where Daffy keeps trying to get Elmer Fudd to shoot Bugs, saying it's rabbit season.
Daffy: Okay, now, what season is it.
Elmer: It's NWO season.
Daffy: THERE'S A NEW WORLD ORDER KITTY! SHOOT HIM! SHOOT HIM NOW!
BLAM!
(Daffy pulls his bill out of a tree trunk and puts it back on.)
Daffy: Okay, I think we need to re-examine this Thermite issue...

I'll cut them some slack this month. After all it was raining and we can't expect them to search for the truth in the rain, can we? :D
I actually saw them and really, what a bunch of pathetic nerds. Next time I may take my camera and a long-range lens to take pictures of them in action.

TAM, Amazingly, we get e-mails from no-planers who argue that we're suppressing the truth that no planes hit the Towers. I understand Mark's principled refusal to appear opposite a no-planer, but I contend that it's not the job of rationalists to establish a hierarchy of lunacy. The dunce who pretends that two huge skyscrapers were surreptitiously wired with thousands of pounds of explosives wants to look down his nose at a nut who believes that no planes were involved? Who am I to say that one insane, moronic, baseless myth is more "respectable" than another? Personally, I love showcasing Ace as the face of the fantasy movement. He has something the other frauds and liars lack: the courage of his convictions.

Has he appeared before? Is there a link? I always thought these no planers were just cartoon people, and didn't really exist (the people who said they have seen them are liars/shills etc)
And the no planers are definately madder than the CD people, by a huge margin. CD is at least possible - building are blown up all the time. Space weapons & cartoons is the pinacle of tomfoolery.

Ace Baker is so crazy he made up a song about Judy Wood. There's a link to it around here somewhere. If you've a strong stomach, you can check out his nutty ideas at www.acebaker.com. There are also quite a few threads here about his "work".

And was there a huge crowd of interested people asking them about the twoof?

I wasn't there long, maybe 15 minutes or so, my daughter was doing her shopping thing, but I saw 2 people giving out literature and one person actually trying to talk to people as they walked the street. There were more people standing around them but I have no idea if they were with the nerds.
Unfortunately I was on the opposite side of Dundas when we went by them. As far as I could see, people took the papers and then promptly dumped them in a recycler conveniently placed about 3 meters down the street. Homeless types were hanging around panhandling the people as usual. People scurrying around them trying to keep out of the rain. Nobody seemed to care too much about them and the police didn't even give them another glance. The bike cops refused to stop and speak when asked by the speaker dude.
Another fine example of the twoof in action trying to bring the perps to justice.:p If 3 is a crowd, then yes I'd say there was a crowd around them. Otherwise they were ignored totally.
Yep next month I'm going to really try hard to get some photos. May 11 is even on a saturday too. I won't try to speak with them though, I'm afraid the stupid will burn. I'll leave that to more experienced types.

Did I miss something? what happened last night?
(Note that, as of this posting, it's actually the night before last.)
What happened was that Truth Movement activists who claim to want a new investigation continued to fail to take any of the steps that would be necessary for getting a new investigation, such as clearly and honestly enumerating their alternative theories including their flaws so that the balance of evidence for those theories can be carefully assessed, and instead continued to engage in and plan activities that actually make a new investigation less likely, such as heckling political speakers, disrupting memorial observances with shouts of "9/11 was an inside job!," and alienating their should-be allies in the antiwar and pro-gay movements (among others) by crashing their demonstrations and muddling their messages.
Okay, I know what you're probably thinking. "But, no one did those things specifically that particular night. We've been doing that for years."
Which underscores the OP's point.
Respectfully,
Myriad

There were a lot of them, but we didn't hear from them all at once. I think most of them found it more comforting to post at the Loose Change forum where they could feel special and wanted.
They used to come in waves of three or four at a time. Before long, they would get frustrated and either stop posting or go for a suicide-by-mod. Then the next wave would come, each convinced that all they had to do was educate us and we would suddenly see the light and come over to their side.

From Ace's site, the "Hunt the Rubble Game" (http://www.acebaker.com/9-11/HTR/web-content/Pages/HTRHome.html):
I have discovered that the only way some people can bear to study 9/11 is through games or music. If HTR can stimulate people to wonder and ask important questions, it has served its purpose.
