:D I am single, and would like nothing but to be a Tarzan to some Jane of my dreams. I would lavish her with whatever she wanted and she wouldn't have to do anything but sit there and look pretty.

Is this inherent in men? Is this what a man wants? Is this what a man ORIGINALLY wants...but then when 'the honeymoon is over' it becomes, "Get out there and get a JOB...bitch!" ?

From the centuries ago when man toiled in the field...or eons ago when man did the hunting, and the wives stayed home to housekeep and to rear the kids, did this role playing develop where man took pride in being the provider?

Women posting here: I know that we had women's lib. But today, what do you think? Do you want to be a man's equal? Would you enjoy having a man who would do anything for you that your heart disires? Some combination of the both?

And to both sexes: Has your attitudes regarding this role playing changed, once you were married?

Hmmmmm, you seem to have an inate ability to push my buttons.

I work, he stays home. All the bills are in my name including the mortgage, etc. I provide for my family financially and he is the caregiver. He spoils me rotten by making sure that the car is kept in good repair, the house is clean, laundry done and also helps with homework. I come home, play with the kids, maybe do a few chores and help tuck the kids into bed. He has closer and better rapport with our children then I do.

We are not equals, we are partners. We are halves a of a whiole that compliment one another. There is no"Me Tarzan, you Jane".
A man cannot give me the satisfaction that I achieve in doing my job and doing it well.

I have in the past spent time as a housewife and took pride in keeping my house clean and well ordered, staying within a budget, taking care of my child and being the pretty little wife. I was bored out of my skull after a year. Some people find fulfillment in that role. I did not.

Iamme, try "Me Jane, you Tarzan":D You might like it even better.
