It's hard to tell what with the awful camera work and the crazy yelling, but I'm pretty sure he was grading the other people on the train based on how they were reacting to him. "You haven't looked away, you're cool, you looked scared, you suck..." kind of thing.

Just that extra little bit of crazy that lets him win on style points.
