She "found" Chandra Levy's body and "talked" to DC police for 2 1/2 hours. I think that they are going to call the DC police.

Ed;
Howard is off for Yom Kippur - this is a repeat from about 18 months ago - WAY before the body turned up - and not in any of the places mentioned by the "phsycic"
Barkhorn.

No, he was actually there. It was a trans-dimensional ecto-transfer. Prove me wrong:D
(Sorry, came in in the middle)

Can check Mark's Friggin.com (http://www.marksfriggin.com/news01/7-30-01.htm#mon) archive for some more details on the event. Howard might not be the brightest bulb on the radio, but when it comes to 'psychics' he sees through their baloney.

Howard Stern strikes me as being smarter than his act would make him seem. He's really pretty sensible when it comes to "woo-woo's" from what I've seen. Not that I watch that filthy show of his much, if I can help it. Only during that rare time when he has something intellectually stimulating on, say related to science or skepticism, otherwise I flip right past it. No really. I swear. I never stay around for the girl on girl stuff, or the strippers. I find it demeaning to women. Don 't look at me like that. I'm telling the truth. Honest.

Howard is a hell of a lot smarter than he makes out. I also think that he is one of the best interviewers around. A lot better than any of the talking heads on TV.

I couldn't agree more. He is very intelligent and sensible.
It feels good to agree with god about something. I feel ...almost..canonized...or something :)

He acts ignorant or dense plenty of times, when he knows exactly what's what. That's the opposite of Robin, who really is an ignoramous, who thinks she knows everthing.
I've always wondered why he does this. I think he's very intelligent about not alienating his audience by appearing all the time to know things that they don't.

I based my feeling that he is not that smart at times on how he sometimes seems unable to follow a simple conversation. A caller says something, the meaning is pretty obvious to me, but Howard seems utterly confused on what the person said. This happens repeatedly.
Also while he is pretty keen on psychics and that lot, he does seem to fall for alternative medicine and health suppliment claims. I think several member of his staff were giving their stamp of aproval on a homeopathic cold remedy. Then again it could be that it was one of their sponsors.

Stern does endorse an herbal-weightloss pill, so he does have some woo-woo beliefs.
