No! First a loofah, then a falafel, and then he's neck-deep in dildos and lawsuits.

And many years later, things hadn't changed much indeed. Now they were letting him scream while on air:

By the way

Did you know that the video you posted here was taken off Youtube?

" This video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by CBS Broadcasting "

I can't blame him a bit. He made the right call, to do it live, too.

The show must go on.

I can't believe I am DEFENDING St. Bill of O'Really, but I can't blame him for that episode.

While I agree you can't blame the man for being annoyed, I dont' think it's an excuse to throw ALL the toys out of the pram as violently as he did.

I rather think it's the difference between blowing yourself up and a strongly worded letter to The Times;) (Ok, kudos for those who get this, I rather hop it's a lot of you)

Man, that guy needs to calm down. Might want to look into Bill Clinton's proven relaxation techniques. Or maybe he should follow President Bush's advice (paraphrasing): "Go outside. I understand public housing is beautiful this time of the year."

I have what might be a dumb question about this. When he says "we'll do it live", is he saying that in a literal sense, as in "we'll cut to me live at the desk at the end of the show to do this part", or is that some kind of television jargon that means something else (like "I'll do it without the telepromter and wing it")?

Judging by the video and the outcome, the latter.

Without context it is impossible fairly to pass judgment on this outburst. It may have been at the end of a long day of filming comprising numerous screw-ups. It may have been he got bad news about a family member earlier. Or it may have been that he just discovered a smudge on the photo in his Reagan Shrine.

Not enough info.

It's always fun to see a self righteous jerk get caught doing what he condemns.
But aside from that, this is one of the all time great raveouts...right up there with the Casey Casem doing the tribute to the kid's dead dog, and several of the better Baseball players losing it in the locker room rants.

I thought that this video was sort of awesome.

I don't like O'Reilly or his views on almost every subject, but who knows what kind of day he was having, what sort of imbecile he was working with? We don't know the context at all, so all that I see is some guy blowing his top at work, something that I personally have done more than once (back when I used to work).

Also this video does nothing but give bad press and embarrassment to an individual that I already disapprove of.

I give it 5/5 stars.

That video was one of the funniest things I've ever seen. I was literally in tears laughing as I watched it. The fact that it's Bill O'Reilly is irrelevant to me. He could be anonymous and it would be hilarious. The way he slowly gets mad while trying to keep whatever little patience he has just cracks me up. And just the looks on his face. Early in the video, for a 2-3 second span he isn't talking or listening but it just looking expressionless into the camera and even that mad me laugh because you know that even with no outward expression it was just building up inside him. I don't know why I found it so funny, but I did.

I know exactly what you mean. That moment when he says "What does that mean? Play us out?" and then stares at the camera almost as if he was wondering if some Jigsaw-like serial killer was trying to mess up with his mind... that moment is gold. I love seeing idiots hang themselves out of their own imaturity.

The Tuesday? episode of the Colbert Report aired this, with a full parody as well.
