Phone home: Purported UFO video to be shown Friday
By Daniel J. Chacon, Rocky Mountain News (Contact)
Originally published 03:15 p.m., May 28, 2008

A video that purportedly shows a living, breathing space alien will be shown to the news media Friday in Denver.

Jeff Peckman, who is pushing a ballot initiative to create an Extraterrestrial Affairs Commission in Denver to prepare the city for close encounters of the alien kind, said the video is authentic and convinced him that aliens exist.

[...]

"It shows an extraterrestrial's head popping up outside of a window at night, looking in the window, that's visible through an infrared camera," he said. The alien is about 4 feet tall and can be seen blinking, Peckman said earlier this month.

In a statement, Peckman said "other related credible evidence" proving aliens exist will be shown at Friday's news conference, too.

[...]

But we won't be able to see the video until a Mr Stan Romanek's documentary is released, presumably for sale...

www.stanromanek.com (http://www.stanromanek.com/):
The Stan Romanek case is the most scientifically documented human/extraterrestrial encounters in the world. There have been well over 100 individually unique experiences that Stan has encountered since December, 2000 that remain unexplainable. Being abducted is only one of many experiences. There have been hundreds of witnesses for dozens of events that defy our current understanding of reality. Witnesses, photographs, videotapes, physical evidence, police reports and scientific analysis have confirmed the validity of these experiences beyond reasonable doubt. Scientists from top universities have been analyzing various aspects of this case for several years with amazing results, expected to be presented to the public and scientific community in the near future.
(my bolding) Yawn.....

ETA: So what do you think of his "equations" (http://www.stanromanek.com/04)%20Stan's%20Mystery%20Equations%20Page_website/)?

This equation was given to Stan during his first abduction experience. It came out when Stan
was undergoing his first hypnotic regression in July, 2002. Included in the equation is a
formula depicting a helium atom bombarding element 115, which at the time did not exist. It
was years later before element 115 would be experimented with. Also included in the equation
is a depiction of our solar system represented by ten dots and a circle. It wouldn't be until
years later that scientists would discover a tenth planet in our solar system and name it, "Xenia"
or "Planet X". At the end of Stan's writing is the Drake Equation, first devised by Dr. Frank
Drake (now Professor Emeritus of Astronomy and Astrophysics at the University of California,
Santa Cruz) in 1960, in an attempt to estimate the number of extraterrestrial civilizations in our
galaxy with which humanity could potentially have contact. Somehow, with no prior knowledge
of Drake's equation, Stan drew it and added, "X 100," while under hypnosis!

I'm sure many a child drawing our solar system has also done it with 10 planets.

If he'd wanted to impress folks with that knowledge, he'd have provided the mass, diameter, and orbital distance for the undiscovered planet. After all, wouldn't aliens know that?

Hello....

We have the unfortunate luck to live in Colorado the state that seems to create more bad "paranormal" evidence and tools than any other.

The Alien video's etc.. that will be released today have already been seen by my team and we have built a website showing just how easy this "evidence" is to create.

The original site is located at: (this does not have the alien video because of the "Documentary" that owns the ©)

The recreations that we have done are at:

Sorry for the links, I have not posted enough to include a direct link. :(

http://www.rockymountainnews.com/news/2008/may/30/alien-commission-causes-commotion/

And guess what? surprise, surprise

To skeptic Randy Bancroft, the creature looks a lot like the seminal "Gray," the creature in the 1957 movie "Earth vs. The Flying Saucers," which has a narrow chin, a broad forehead and almond eyes, not too different from the friendly alien in "E.T."

Randy Bancroft and fellow skeptic Bela Scheiber found it interesting that the creature was never seen from below the neck.

I did love the origin of the film:

The film showed a window, reportedly 8 feet off the ground in a rural Nebraska town in 2003.
It was shot by the homeowner, who had earlier reported seeing UFOs hovering above his house.
This time, he said he set up a camera because he feared a peeping tom was spying on his two teenage daughters

So apparently aliens are also horny.

The reason is obvious. As soon as you have high quality video, everybody can instantly see what it is. There's no room for weird speculation left. You need blurry/underexposed/grainy pictures to get room for wild interpretation.

(This post is kinda Captain Obvious. I know that you know the reasons for the bad quality vids.)

It is obvious, but I like to start from, "Assume that this is true." That's the point for those threads I've started. I know that proof from contradiction is supposed to generally be the harder way to do a proof, but I think it's a good starting point to think about a problem.

If these things were true, we should have nice, decent-quality video/pics of them in this day and age.

Because the intuitive assumption is that everyone everywhere thinks like you, I assume that everyone everywhere would expect, in this day and age, to see nice decent-quality video/pics of these phenomena.

And if these things are not true, because of my assumption, I would expect that the people would fake nice, decent-quality video/pics.

Since this doesn't happen, obviously, something is wrong with my assumption, namely, people are ****tards.

OK, ok. That I shouldn't expect everyone everywhere to think like me.:D

I see two likely possibilities here:
The man who originally filmed the "alien" was the victim of a practical joke. That would mean that he is not lying, and the video is "authentic" (an authentic video of a fake alien).
The man who originally filmed the "alien" staged everything himself, and is lying to everyone else about it.Now technically, I can't prove that it isn't an alien from outer space, so I suppose that exists as very remote third possibility.. but I also can't prove that it's not a genetically mutated donkey-boy. So let's just call the third option "none of the above", and say it has the lowest possible non-zero probability.

All of that aside, the real story behind this video is irrelevant, because the video proves absolutely nothing in every scenario. Hypothetically speaking, even if that really was an alien from outer space peering through the window, an easily-faked video like this one wouldn't qualify as proof that it really happened.

---

This is mostly for amusement, but why are all of these "aliens" visiting Earth naked? Wouldn't they be afraid of disease, bacteria, or various other microorganisms? They have the technology to travel across the Universe, but they're not smart enough to protect themselves from a virus that could potentially wipe out their entire race? Ohhh.. maybe they're just smart enough to cure any possible disease. :D

Wow, I've never thought about that. But you're right, they should be dressed in some really evolutionary advanced styles. :D

(Like others I'm also sick of the typical grey big head big eye bipedal thin chin archetype, I mean jeez, at least be creative).

About this story, I saw one of the documentary makers or owners or something on MSNBC or something a couple days ago, the reporter asked him why he'd actually be sitting on the video as it would be the most incredible news sensation of all time if it were true. The guy answered that the media tends to dismiss them or laugh at them in general and he wanted to present it along with all the "scientific evidence" or proof or something at one shot.

Which or course he could've done in that spot, but that seemed to have escaped him.

Thanks Bryan for the post and links!

and let's not forget how that's a remake of an obscure indie flick called UFO Abduction, footage from which was successfully passed off as being that of footage of a real alien abduction. Hello....

the answer is yes, and it looks like they are going to get this thing on the ballot. With the DNC coming to town they are really ramping up pushing this stupid agenda.

We are currently looking at the "Metatron Technology" that the chief proponent of the initiative is pushing as well.

If anyone has any info on it we would be grateful

Thanks,
Bryan

Let me start you a thread so you can post about this.

Metatron Technology huh? Yeah, I've had more than a few people try to sell me that 'cosmik debris.'

So apparently aliens are also horny.Isn't there any claims of extraterrestial life that IS NOT bad antrophormizing? Just one. Please. A extraterrestial creature getting excited over female teenagers makes much less sense than a human getting excited over galapagos turtles.

I didn't make that, I only googled it because I was sure someone had already made something like this.
